The problem I have with this confabulation conjecture is – Trump has been lying his entire life. How do we know that – now – he's actually believing his own fabrications? It's not like everyone in that room was shocked that Trump told an obvious lie. More like – they just let it go, cause that's what Trump does – he lies and makes stuff up.

The use of the term confabulation or 'honest lying', by Republicans, to describe Trump; is in itself, inherently dishonest. The inference being that prior to his condition he was not so afflicted. This is deceptive politicking. Trump is a known liar, who demonstrably has never been interested in the truth – quite the opposite. He has only been concerned with protecting his interests and hiding the truth above all else. He is a gifted manipulator of those who are too blind to see or too greedy to care – and his bid for the presidency was purely to consolidate his own wealth and power and protect himself from prosecution.
It might well be the case that such a duplicitous life will compound the onset of the symptoms of dementia. He will slip into symptomatic dementia quite naturally; a disturbing fate for a US president that he may come to believe whatever comes into his head. It is sad in any individual of course, yet terrifying in somebody weilding such power – and who is clearly vulnerable to the influence of malign world powers. Whatever he says changes from day to day; is often fabricated or intended to impress yet is ineffectual and cannot be trusted.
He has often been considered to have the emotional and reasoning capacity of a child – which is precisely his level of emotional development. Now, as US President, and constantly in the media spotlight the evidence is plain for all to see – especially the likes of Putin and Xi Jinping. It is surely time for the greatest democracy in the world, to put an end to this – one way or another.
He's smarter and more mentally aware than any liberal in the country.

My feeling is that talking of his mental illness will do little damage to current administration, true or not. I believe actions like whats happening in California to redraw maps is the way to go. Fight fire with fire.
