You knocked this one out of the park, Michael! I listened to this episode via Player FM without the visual distraction of Cartoon God (which it would have been to my neurodivergent brain), but even as a practicing Catholic, I LOVED Cartoon God!!!
There was enough irreverence inserted into his speech pattern to make the gig clearly "spoofy" which in turn allowed the messaging to penetrate all the more, especially the most subtle schticks that would surely have reached even deeper into your more religiously tuned-in audience.
It was a brilliant act, not only of writing and acting, but especially of conceptualization. I believe far more messaging must have reached its target with effect than the usual griping, yelling and jumping up and down that we all tend to engage in.
I sincerely hope this is not the last we hear of Cartoon God!
