2004-2008 Acura TL Rear Strut Replacement

This video covers the entire process of replacing the rear struts on a 2004-2008 Acura TL. This procedure is also very similar to the 2003-2008 Honda Accord.

This is Episode 2 in the Acura TL Series.

If you don’t have a decent spring compressor, I recommend using complete strut assemblies, or, after you remove the struts from your vehicle, take them to a shop to have them swap the struts over for you. Coil springs can be very dangerous if not handled properly.

  1. I've missed my Eric the Car Guy. Since it's my birthday I'm a little upset that ETCG1 didn't post/shoot today. I want my cake Eric, it's been far too long!

  2. Woohoo! Great to have you back Eric! Seriously missed the good ol’ repair vids. It’s something we can all relate to and be inspired by – don’t get me wrong, Dad’s Truck and the Fairmont are awesome, but not something most of us have the resources to achieve 🙂

  3. Do you have a video on how to replace a lower ball joint on a dodge stratus or vehicle similar to it? I really need tips because I never done a ball joint before.
