She's a gorgeous cat, Joe. She'll calm down as she gets older lol, we got our cat from a cat shelter too. She was called Shadow originally but we changed it to Luna, now morphed into Loonies or Loons. She got used to her new name pretty quickly. Cats are cleverer than a lot of ppl give them credit for.
