  1. I worked at a medium security prison here in Henderson Texas for a year.. there were four pods per dorm each pod had 64 inmates.. it was also privately owned facility with a contract with TDCJ.. your videos helped me get ready to become a CO and I thank you for that joe keep up the good work!

  2. Michigan prisons they have jobs like yard crew 17.5 cents a day and porter (cleaning bathrooms) 27 cents a day, then they have kitchen where you vet between 27 cents an hour and 75 cents an hour for the cooks. I was a cook for the last 10 years I was in, f**k the other jobs, plus I got extra food. Then they have a licence plate factory in Adrian where they get a lot of money, I think they get 1.50 an hour plus bonuses. I'm not sure the exact amount, but my buddy who worked in license plates got about $300 a month with bonuses. They have to make a certain amount of license plates in a certain time to get the bonuses. Yard crew they would mow the entire prison with push mowers. I don't mean gas powered push mowers. I mean the wheel going forward makes the rotary blade spin push mowers. Plus they rakes leaves, shoveled snow. They would work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 17.5 cents a day. I was on Yard Crew once, I never did that again, it was kitchen for me after that. Other jobs like maintenance got paid good and the job was fairly easy, but those jobs were hard to get. Kitchen was easy to get and paid good. I moved up to cook quickly, especially after I had experience cooking.

  3. Give me a cell over dorm any day. The dorm settings are intolerable. Get a bunch of younger guys in the dorms and it’s just loud as fuck.

  4. I admire how you've turned probably the worst experience of your life into this amazing channel. Whenever I'm worried about something in my normal life, then I watch your videos and I'm like: my problems can all have solutions compared to someone that has to do time in prison. I've never did anything wrong when it comes to the law but by god I think prison is one of those things in life that you have no control at all what's going to happen. I can't even picture what it can be like..
Enough of the rambling, keep up the good work Joe, been following APS since summer 2018.

  5. Fuck a dorm. Lawrenceville is the sweetest time ever.if you got a hussle you can live like a king.lm an old white dude had the place in the palms of my hands.weed strips etc.

  6. What is worse? 600 years or 6 life sentences? Its rare that someone can do a lot of legal work and be successful in beating a life sentence, but if they do, they then have 5 life sentences. 600 years is the result of a string of crimes they are convicted of which all crimes add up to 600 years. So many robberies, assaults etc

  7. I'll take max over minimum any day. In minimums, people kinda forget where there at, & get too comfortable &/or loose. Dudes think they in some fucking day camp or some shit & start acting the fool, & all types of shit. Go figure in maxes, at least in NYS anyways even tho I can imagine it would apply to most others too, but in maxes dudes are more respectful, on point, & know how to act like grown men. Go figure it's probably cuz there are REAL consequences! And dudes know this & don't forget this! When someone has a long bid, & eventually they accept this & get into a grind, they have a hustle, maybe visits & conjugal visits too in NY, maybe met a pen pal girl from the town, etc etc, in other words making the best of the bid, & so to possibly lose all of this over another dude acting a fool, then it's gonna be for a real reason. Not some just shooting off at the mouth type shit, but someone is gonna get opened up fast, or pick their face up off the ground. And because of these real consequences, most act in line with respect for each other. Of course their is always beefs, but it's gonna be over some real shit.

  8. Lol..I was lvl 1 or lvl 2 in Virginia… hahahaha. You'd get destroyed in Cook County jail in Chicago..it's all dorms and you're white.. hahahaha

  9. I got to say this may be a good episode. While at imax in Michigan I confronted a snitch and told him to get off the police d@ck. The next day they called me in the office and threatened me with placing stuff in my locker to get me more time, that Noone was on their jock. How guards protect their snitches

  10. When my husband served time, he was in a max, then moved down to a level 1 for a work thing, and there were constant escape attempts, a fair amount of people trying to get their levels up because they couldnt handle the lack of structure that they had in the max. He ran the tobacco as well as a commissary hustle where he was so he definitely preferred to be at the level 1, but he saw a lot of young pups come in there running off at the mouth who just couldnt handle the lack of structure.

  11. I don't get people who want to relive their time after they are out.
Homie looks small framed too. All levels not so fun, pretty sure he got
wrecked all day, lolzzzzzz. 1500 times a day. Oh sorry, dude wanted to escape, but not really.
    Snickers satisfies.

  12. My dad is almost done with a 10 year sentence, he gets out in 11 months. He’s currently a level 2b but his entire block was moved from Lorain to Toledo (so from a Low level to a Max) because of covid, and they are supposed to be moved back after all this ends (when they were moved, they were told 4 to 6 weeks, it’s been 8 months) and I just hate the fact that he is even in the same area as level 4 and 5s. Even though his block is completely seperate from the max levels in a temporary housing unit and they have more privileges, it still scares me. You know? He’s worked his way down from a level 4a after getting in trouble as a level 2A at the beginning of his sentence. I don’t want him to do something stupid and earn more time.

  13. …… America On Line you FOOL! A.O.L. …. Where every 3 months you'd get a new free 3-month trial disc so you never had to pay (TOP DOLLAR BTW) for shitty ass "Dial-Up internet where it would've taken almost 45mins just to load the front page of a website that does nothing but show photos. God-forbid the site had ANY kind of GIF or video clip, u might leave it loading overnight and STILL not even be halfway through loading the page!!

  14. I'ma do 10 months for agg dui. They tried to give me between 1 n half – 2 n half years my first plea. I didn't sign. Second was 1 year plus 3 years probation. I told I'll sign for 8 months. They declined but offered 10 months. Better than 11 years if I took it to trial n lost . Arizona is harsh af
