  1. Fed prisons will provide hygiene items for free to every new inmate. A bottle of clear liquid soap/body wash/gel. A toothbrush. Soap. Some FCIs will not allow razors and will have "razor day," during count where they will slip a razor under your door. They will be back for it in about 15 minutes.

If you have no pen or paper, your Counselor will give it to you. If you have no money, they will give you a clear prison radio to listen to TV.

  2. They dont give you a razor and fine you for not shaving? Thats gotta be a virginia thing. Almost every jail/ prison gives a free razor in the hygiene pack. It wont be great but its provided

  3. I love the whole shabangs in jail. I try to get lays salt and vinegar out here in the free but its not the same. The whole shabangs is just a burst of flavor in 1 chip

  4. Its ridiculous that prisoners have to buy basic living items like soap and razors…. like the state is incarcerating them its their responsibility to maintain basic living standards like cleanliness.

  5. Do you know of any place you can still buy canteen items? They don't seem to sell that stuff out here and when you use them for fifteen years you get used to them.

  6. In college I lived on ramen noodles and hot dogs and lots of peanut butter sandwiches. I had a roommate that did time. He tought me how to make a break and a foxy. He was 6'6 350 pounds. Sure glad he was a friend lol.

  7. Dirty ass is a busted ass at every unit I was in at TDC,now called TDCJ-ID and they gave us a name change from Convict to Offender, but the old CO's would take one look at our numbers and still call us old timers Convicts
