  1. It would take a horse like Good Magic to put pressure on him early in the race, in order to defeat Justify in the Belmont. No pressure he will win the Belmont Stakes. Justify will have three weeks to be ready for the Belmont. If Mike Smith can settle him into a good lead its all over.

  2. Justify is special, but he's no American Pharaoh and def no Secretariat. Those horses put a hurting on the field! Justify escaped by the skin of his horse teeth in this very weak 8 horse field. But, a win is a win. I just don't see that "wow factor" you see with other great champions, no matter the sport.

  3. Colmus is a hack. His overly dramatic assessment that Justify was "UNSTOPPABLE!" rang false. Yes, the horse won, but he was pressed all the way. It was not the dominant victory that Colmus' call seems to want to make it out to be.

  4. IMO – Good Magic had no business on the front-end w/ Justify….They should have known going in that 2nd was all they were gonna get against a better horse. Instead, they wasted Good Magic in a match race, hooked head & head with Justify. He finished 4th which I'm sure was a huge disappointment for the 2yo champion who was exhausted after his battle on the lead. Some say "slow fractions" but a duel is still a duel to the two horses engaged. Bravazo was behind the pace in 3rd position and the race set up for him to close. Bravazo is still Bravazo and Justify is still Justify, talented as talented gets and then some. Some say now he's beatable but IMO – only if you're willing to sacrifice your Good Magic trying to win a race you were never going to win……:) Go Justify! Triple Crown and all it's glory!

  5. Steve Coburn made a point four years ago. Did Sham, Alydar, Bet Twice, Easy Goer, Free House, Victory Gallop, and Menifee skip the Preakness? Since Empire Maker, trainers now cherry-pick and gang up on the Kentucky Derby winner.

  6. Just awesome!!! And once again, he didn't even get muddy!!! Big Red, triple threat, Triple Crown winning mudder!!!! Belmont here we come!!!!! ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿด๐Ÿด๐Ÿด

  7. A valiant performance. But I do think the Belmont may just be too much to ask. Justify will face horses that seem stronger at the end of the race…and some others who skipped this one. But that's all part of what makes it so hard to win all three.

  8. Wow. Those horses are like 5he post office. Rain snow or shine they deliver the goods. Congratulations to all of these fine athletes and the jockeys. I love you horsey.

  9. Justify is a great horse but there is no way hes going to win the Belmont , it showed today and at Kentucky he is verily finishing. I think this distance is the max for this horse.

  10. it takes a lot out of a horse to battle most of the race, and still win.he is a strong horse, can he win the Belmont like American pharoh?

  11. Justify did win this Preakness 3 seconds faster than American Pharoah's. The margins between four horses was very close though while AP won easily.

  12. It's not fair but it is what it is. No golden rule for Derby also-rans to run in all three legs. Audible and Bolt d'Oro will be fresher. Justify will be tired af and be overtaken like Charismatic and Chrome did.

  13. Rewatch the 2003, 2004, and 2014 Belmonts. In 2003, controversy at Bobby Frankel for skipping the Preakness with Empire Maker. Then EM dusted Funny Cide in Belmont.

  14. I love Justify but we can't be blind fanboys and fangirls. Be objective. Triple Crown is no joke. Justify will finish off the board and get his revenge on Audible in November.

  15. Awesome Again & Breeders' Cup Classic. Those are the only two races where Justify should be pointed for the rest of the year whether he wins the TC or not.
