4. I very much support the help you are giving Danny. Danny was very fortunate to be connected to you. I worked on the other side of the line as a California Prison Guard from 1975 to 2010. I can totally relate to Danny's story. My comment is for Dave. I can see you have never done time in a prison, much less been involved in a cell extraction. "Goon Squads", a term we used in the 70's and 80's have long been replaced by "Extraction Teams" which are made up of men and women who work during that shift and work in the immediate area. All staff are trained in Cell Extractions. It is a tough job and no one wants to do it. Extractions are initiated by the inmate action, not as a recreational desire of the staff. Many times we have to act quickly to save a life of a prisoner and put ourselves at risk for contamination from HIV or Hep C diseases. So before you rant on about "Gooners", as Danny please. He will know what i am talking about.

40. Danny needs to know that his life isn’t all about the 40 years in prison. He has no idea what life has to offer, i’m glad he’s starting to see a lot of hope, but reminding him about being in prison & him saying that he’s truly appreciative about isn’t helping at all. This leads to a fixed mindset & that won’t get Danny anywhere in life because it makes him feel like he owes everything to you guys hence making him feel like he’s still the same guy in prison.
