5. What these two did was incredibly greasy. It was despicable. However, what they did is no different than what many banks did to people during the sub-prime lending era that preceded the housing market crash. They stole money from good people who were down on their luck.

   I'm not saying that I don't think they deserve to go to jail. I'm just saying, I wish people would be as passionate about holding the Wall St. bankers who put tens of thousands on the streets, as they are about this issue.

   I honestly believe they do deserve jail time. 2 years plus a day.

17. You had a lot of things you asked for our opinions on and I'm just going to focus on one. This guy has an addiction and he's being given a large sum of money. I believe he will go through it like toilet paper. Why? Because I DON'T have an addiction and I would go through it like toilet paper. If you haven't been raised to handle the responsibility of money, you will most likely go absolutely nuts and spend all your money on instant happiness items. Throw in addiction, and you will probably use that money to feed your habit. I hope that I'm wrong, but look at all the people who've won the lottery and ended up bankrupt or dead. I'm just sayin'.

27. I would guess 5 years maybe more like you said, but honestly they might get away with a month or two and get time served, or get a fine or something. By the time this goes through the courts this wont be a thing anymore and they have (had) 300k to pay for a lawyer, so…

30. Not checked up on this case recently, but I hope they knock em over the head tbh. And I almost never wish that on much of anybody. But when ya abuse people's kindness and take advantage of not only a homeless man but the means by which people struggling receive help, ya deserve the worst! When people read stories like this it makes others feel like they can't trust any of these find raising type campaigns. And it only hurts people that need help the most. So fuck em both!
