20 Years Of Addiction 5 Years In Prison…

In this video, APS turns to a new chapter. Introducing you to a woman named Shannon who has battled addiction for most of her life and who has also just spent the last 5 years in prison. Shannon has only been released now for 12 days. And she is ready for a fresh start at life. But most certainly will face an uphill battle. It’s our hope to help Shannon along the way as much as we can. As she is willing to share with us a perspective none of at APS can… What life is like for women in prison.

  1. Proud of you Shannon keep up the great work seriously addiction is a struggle that people who aren’t addicts can’t relate to. Let me start out by saying I’m a recovering addict I have too much to lose and have come too far to through it all away. Yet I know that my addict self is just a shout away to becoming that thing I become when I use. I don’t usually share anything but as with this disease we become ppl we are not proud of. My cousin is an addict he got in a fight with his dad whom he loved and respected a lot (this happened about 6 months ago)as most addicts are was living with his dad (my dads twin brother) also my uncle tried everything to help him/enable him well anyway they argued and my uncle went to sleep and never woke up. He was the last one to talk to him . My uncle had a heart attack in his sleep. He basically died of a broken heart. When he was found by one of his many kids the next day, he was found asleep and buckass naked in his bed (forgive me unc). I guess you could say peacefully and I use that word lightly. My cousin the addict came by as we( the whole family) was there. My uncle was a well respected electrician. He helped my cousin get his apprenticeship and got him on with the company. Hang on it’s getting ready to get better. My cousin had a hard time maintaining employment because of addiction. But he met a woman who worked for the company and had a company vehicle. Well that night he took her vehicle to go cop or whateverand wrecked it got in trouble with the law and none of our family would help bail him out for the funeral. I didn’t agree but didn’t want to make waves. So he stayed in jail during the funeral . Remember these two were tight my uncle loved all of his children unconditionally and he had about 9 or 10 kids either he called his own or was his own. Well the only way for my cousin to get out of jail was to go to treatment. Which he did 5 months off dope no crutch just cold turkey. I guess he had a relapse( if I can just through to one person that this story helps get them through the night dope free then all this fucking typing /balling like a baby will be worth it) narcan was administered too late . The ppl he was doing dope with dropped his body off at the hospital and left him outside. A bypasser alerted hospital staff and they revived him from a heart attack but this very tatented musician / artist /this person who is only the shell of my cousin rn I laying in a hospital bed with no brain activity on a life support. They are probably going to pull the plug on him tomorrow may 3 my uncle’s birthday. FUCK HEROIN so if you’ve read this I believe in the power of prayer pls pray for our family asp y’all rock joe Dave Danny rabbit all y’all hold a spot in my heart. ….. peace

  2. HEY DANNY I MISS AND LOVE YOU MUCH.😙 BIG BIG HUGS AND KISSES MY LUV. 😍 💞 💗 👄 EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A WIFE NOW DANNY YOU STILL HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART.

  3. AND IT IS ABOUT TIME JOE THAT YOU GUYS STARTED DOING SOME OF THE AFTER PRISON VIDEO ON THE WOMEN ALSO. THIS ONE WAS MY FIRST ONE THAT I WATCHED ON THE WOMEN VIDEO AND IT WAS PRETTY COOL TO WATCH.

  4. Just recently found your channel and have binge watched for the last 2 days. I think this channel and the whole APS crew is AWESOME!! Love to hear everyone's stories! But the only comment that sticks out in this video for me is for Dave… Im absolutely crushing on him & would love all 240lbs!! Lmfao! Dave is sooo funny, can't get enough! Love you all, keep up the good work! Btw, I'm 20 minutes from Petersburg FCC!

  5. Love the Sublime shirt she has. Sounds like a lot of people around my way in Buckingham V.A with addiction 10min away from Fluvanna. Including myself since 17yo 26yo now. Feel grateful now to e alive but a bit of a hypocrite cause stil. an addict so in a way you could say I don't value life. And you're right about it. Want to get clean but don't want to at the same time. Fear sickness even though I've been through it so many times.

  6. Around 34 minutes in, trade training was mentioned. Probably the best thing a prisoner should go for. Make good money vs college credits where you may graduate and still work in a restaurant. College is so overrated.

  7. Dude, are you still in contact with Shannon? I know her, well kinda. My Name is Johnny Moore from Oklahoma but live in Minnesota right now, I would like to say "wasUp" to her if possible? I think we talked at a biker rally I rode out to once, or a get together rather

  8. She has definitely changed her life and it’s such an awesome thing you guys in the APS FAMILY are out there doing for people. Of course people will troll you and just say ridiculous things but I can guarantee if they were in a situation that you all would still extend your hand and help them. That’s just how real you guys are. Keep up the great work Shannon and the APS FAMILY.

  9. I'm a recovering heroin addict as well. Newly recovered. 1 year and 5 months clean and sober. Theres so much I could say about a situation such as addiction but at the end of the day it all comes down to the fact of one phrase. "WE DO RECOVER" Just for today my friends.

  10. Dan Joe nice! I totally missed Shannon's story because I was locked up at the time(and haven't been locked up since)but now that I have been binge watching APS the past few days I am going to check it out now. That's good that you got a female on the show. I'm looking forward to seeing this. Next person you need to have on the show is a homosexual (punk) Not to be weird but I would like to know how hard it is for a gay individual in the prision system. The ones I met while in the system were pretty damn cool and laid back. They weren't picked on or anything here in Fl. The only time they were messed with is when they did stupid shit like everyone else.

  11. Great Job!! For you guys and for Sharon sharing her story, now in order to move on ….find a good church with heathy doctrine…. God is the Light, The True and the Life walking in his path will give you the wisdom to make good decisions!! God Bless you all !!🙏

  12. Do druggies have an oudor like a cockroach stench. I somehow imagine they smell. I have addict friends but I suffer from sinuses so I can't smell them
