There are so many beautiful states in the US that a passport is really not a big deal. You should be PROUD of yourself. My x can't stay out of prison because he will not stop drinking. It's caused him nothing but problems. He is over 50 and will die on the street and that is sad! So many people have tried to help him but the fact remains he is not helping himself.
