Are BIG COMPANIES Still Using PRISON LABOR?

Some say big companies are and some say big companies aren’t still using prison labor. Today I offer my thoughts on this question and they might differ from how a lot of people feel about big companies using prison labor.

  1. I have a problem using prison labor in Texas because we work for free for the state and not only that. If you refuse to work you will get written up and punished for refusing to follow a direct order. Which after your 3rd DR of that status will be ran as a MAJOR CASE! Which could cause you to lose any good time or even your parole when that time comes… all because you refuse to work for free! And when I talk about work here in Texas it is WORK!!! Your out in a field all day long with a hoe scraping at the ground until your fingers blister and bleed. In the summertime we have inmates actually die from heat related illness all the time! The prison I got released from a couple of years ago was on lock down the few days I was there because of a couple inmate deaths and while locked down they had a inmate beat his cell mate to death because of the tension of being locked up with another person all day 24/7!!! So ya it’s a real problem! All that happened at Robertson Unit in Tx just look it up! Another prison they had a lot of deaths at were at the Wallace Pack Unit where they have lawsuits ongoing and any prisoner there must be transferred to any air conditioning unit in Texas which become a problem because there are only a few in all of Texas that have that!!!! Ya Texas is out of control and literally replaced slave labor with prisoner labor when slavery was abolished

  2. A couple of years ago I found out that a prison made my custom plates for our family vehicle. They went on lock down and it held up everybody's order. It seemed like it took forever to receive my plates.

  3. You know the person who invented the toothbrush he she was in prison an inmate Philadelphia PA in the 1700. The man who invented the Thompson submachine gun also invented that apply for a patent while he was in prison

  4. This is an interesting subject….
Tax breaks (WIOA) for hiring "underprivileged" workers is a major factor for waffle house …when I worked there …almost every employee got food stamps so thru the WIOA program the company got kickbacks for hiring…this among other things fueled a constant churning of new hires…this created an interesting atmosphere too

  5. All the hair comments… I’m new to this channel so I’m not sure if Joe asked for feedback on hair color but if not, it’s weird for people to be telling him what color his hair should be. Dude you look cool either way, do whatever you want with your hair. Looks don’t really matter.
