  1. People who don't have tax returns the last 2 years could still get the money. I forget what its called but I remember seeing they could fill out some other form to get the funds. Theirs no obligation to get the checks outside of being an American. I still can't believe their wasn't a 2nd round yet or some kind of monthly payments like Canada. But I guess they believe bc they extended the federal unemployment that solved everything.. That's not the case for small percentages of people like me. I got hurt at work and haven't seen a red cent since.. Outside of my tax return and the stimulus. I can't draw unemployment bc I'm hurt and I'm still fighting for my WC benefits. If it wasn't for family I would be homeless bc of all this.. That's why our system is flawed RN and Canada's method works. Canada is eliminating people like me from falling thru the cracks.

  2. One word…..progressives. They make a lot of dumb dumb laws. Don’t get me wrong I have been where a lot of others have been on this channel but there is a difference between someone that has made bad life choices and those that belong in prison. Rapist for one don’t deserve a stimulus check lol.

  3. I believe to get the stimulus check you should have paid taxes in 2019 or 2018. Therefore, it make sense to have people locked out receiving stimulus checks if there were working and paying taxes during the above periods.

  4. yo hows it goin. havent watched your videos in a few years. your looking good! whatever happened to the guy with the broken leg? last i saw he went back in.

  5. Some inmates go work in your communities..so I feel like those individuals should and those who entered the system afterwards working in those time frames

  6. I agree with you, if they are just incarcerated and filed taxes during that period, they should be allowed to have it, but if they've been in there a while I just don't see the need. I also feel that if they do get it, if they do owe a bunch of money, it should come out of it. I just don't see how someone who has been locked up for a while could have been personally economically impacted by the whole pandemic deal.

  7. My husband is currently serving time in Missouri and he just filed for his stimulus check. Not only does this help him but it helps me financially in supporting him in there.

  8. The only government check I think any prisoner should be eligible to get… would be …if that prisoner before going to prison served in the military and retired and was receiving a military retirement check…. and then this person decided to do wrong… They should still get that money in prison …because they did serve their country before they did wrong…. other than that ……fuck no

  9. Third year law student here! Love your vids. To my understanding, the term "arbitrary and capricious" is used in judicial opinions to describe rulings that are unpredictable and not congruent with the current law. Basically, the judge was saying that based on prior case law, the decision to withhold stimulus checks by the IRS wasn't made based on valid law and therefore was "arbitrary and capricious." That being said, the IRS is an administration. Administrative law gets much messier/more complicated than just court opinions. Hope I helped! 🙂

  10. Well since you asked Joe, I think it’s fucking BULLSHIT that a prisoner is eligible for ANY kind of federal money. They made their choices, deal with the consequences. If you aren’t out here paying taxes, you don’t deserve the money. That money isn’t free. Sorry, not sorry.

  11. Every individual living in America should get a direct stimulus check. As the name implies, it's to stimulate the economy. Also, I'd rather let an inmate get a stimulus check than a business a forgivable stimulus loan. Inmates are far more likely to put that money right back into the economy than a business. An inmate does not have the resources to allocate this money overseas, but a business can. Just as a thought experiment, imagine physically writing a $1,200 check to someone. They then spend that entire check at your store. Now do the same thing for a business. The business doesn't spend the money at your store, but rather China or India, where it can get a better deal.

  12. Inmates are Americans and have been affected by covid. The food in prisons are horrible beyond measure the canteen is high, and inmates get ripped off when it comes to phone services.
Inmates loved one pay the bills of their locked up family members so it helps offset the price they must pay if inmates get Covid relief.

  13. You have to be f’ing kidding me? As if the cost of trying, incarcerating etc the prisoner isn’t enough – public defenders, judges, cops, guards etc. all need to be paid because the stimulus-receiving inmate broke laws. Laws that tax-paying wage earners didn’t. Oh, here you go – here is your stimulus check! Who cares if they might have paid taxes too – their cost on society far outweighs their right to stimulus.

You want to pay them? Make their check a donation to a victim relief fund. Wow, what a kick in the balls to someone who has followed and preached hard-work, humility, accountability and integrity. I understand people make mistakes and “do their time”, but I see no path that warrants inclusion of prisoners in this payday..

  14. WTF…this makes no sense at all. They already get free room and board and 3 meals a day which we as taxpayers are paying for. Why the hell should they get a stimulus check?

  15. If you commited a crime , are on death row or in for life and don’t contribute nothing to society you get a juicy check . But if you are a hard working family who makes $198,000 and you pay into society , taxes and keep the economy rolling you get zilp!!. Doesn’t surprise me . Prisoners have it better than us.

  16. People this is just another way dems go after voter base. Trust me, they could care less about immigrants let alone prisoners….so long as they vote democrap.

  17. Yeah, give those checks. Whats the worst that could happen? Surely it won't cause any conflicts and the inmates certainly won't go around violently taking each other's money.

  18. Prisoners get more benefits than people who know how to act. This is absolute bullshit. People who go to prison should be left out in the cold to suffer.

  19. When a prisoner leaves prison eh should be served a bill for all the food they ate off of state tax payer money. I would send them a bill for the stimulus payment.
