In this video, I introduce you to Booker. A man who rents over 100 rooms to people after prison and others who just need a place to live. Booker is also a bail bondsman. And also has other businesses where he is able to provide jobs for people who need work. This man has a very interesting story and life. And he is doing amazing things in the local community. I am honored to bring you the introduction of Booker here on AfterPrisonShow in a documentary titled: Halfway Somewhere. These are the stories I want to hear! I know people would say him charging 500 a month for a room is robbery. That's better than nothing! If I was living in this place, I'd make sure to wash the dishes everytime I make dinner. Also cleaning up for myself.

This is in my area of Virginia. I’ve known a few people that have multiple properties in these lower income areas that rent to families and make a good income, but none that sublet individual rooms. Norfolk, Portsmouth, Hampton and Newport News have lots of older neighborhoods like these. Another gig is subletting rooms to college kids for houses around the colleges in each city.
