Google’s strategy with the Pixel line has shifted a lot over the past couple of years. In 2020, we saw a big move from the company. It released three devices in around the mid-range. For the first year since its inception, Google hasn’t released a flagship Pixel. Why? Watch the video to find out!

  1. I feel like one plus has been able to capture that lower price more high spec phone range that Google can maybe take a note from them or maybe huawei

  2. 2:20 More megapixels isn't always better. A sensor with less megapixels will generally capture more light per pixel and have a greater dynamic range over a sensor the same size with more megapixels, the trade-off being resolution. The solution to this would be a higher iso or longer exposure time which requires better OIS if you don't want a grainy image

  3. I don't know other people's experience but… People in america have been expending money in expensive iPhones; It's amazing. I also thought that with the pandemic people would be more into savings, but people here keeps consuming. Expecialy expensive iPhones. It's has been a mind blowing experience but everytime I went to Best Buy looking for a pixel 4a or something in a similar price, all the youth with their parents looking at the iPhones 12 lineup; And then adults. Google had a extrategy in mind but iPhones are something out of this world. People here just can't leave without them… Crazy

  4. I'm still using my pixel 2 and pixel 3, I guess if they put out a really great higher spec phone next year I will grab it in a second. This is the only phone I have really loved since my HTC One.

  5. Everyone would love to see a groundbreaking hardware and software device.
Who would pay is the question.
If I does not have an i or S to begin, it won't sell.

  6. I switched from Pixel 2 to Pixel 5 and loving it so far.
Pixel 5 did a good job cutting out the fancy stuff and focus on what the user needs. it fits like a glove

  7. I had my initial doubts, but this feels like the best way to go for the Pixel lineup. They're about showcasing cutting-edge camera software and useful day-to-day featues rather than flagship, groundbreaking hardware after all.

  8. I think the 4 was on a wrong path.
It didn't have all the bells and whistles of its competitors (big everything), and lacked very useful features (decent battery, bright display).
Now they understand that their customers have different requirements and addressing those better will be the key to success.
Smaller screens and rear fingerprint sensor are quite unique these days and very practical.
Regarding the camera, I hope they use same sensors and similar lens as 2020 Sonys.

  9. They just need to upgrade their camera hardware(same 12 megapixel resolution but a bigger sensor), make a slit for the ear piece speaker and make their own chipset so the price can stay relatively low yet flagship worthy

  10. 4:57 Another Fossil Hybrid HR fan? I had a Galaxy Watch but found that I was always using faces with hands. I traded the fancy Samsung in for the Fossil and I love it! Perfect blend of watch + basic smart functions.
Still enjoying my 3a XL too.

  11. 👎🏻 To The Pixel Line.
Google Should Have STAYED With The,
    NEXUS LINE‼️😠

THERE IS NO REASON THEY "CAN'T"
    BE THE BEST AT BOTH,
    HARDWARE, AND SOFTWARE.

THE IMPRESSION THEY SEEM TO WANT TO PUT FORTH , IS
    "WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN" .

OK THEN GOOGLE, AFTER WAITING "TOO" LONG, I'LL SIMPLY MOVE ON❗

  12. I think the narrative presented is incorrect. Pixel 1 & 2 were value-oriented and that changed with 3. So 5 is a return to their roots. You can see this with the pricing alone. The 3s weren't /that/ different from the 2s, and yet Google hiked the prices… mainly because other flagships were going up in price I'm guessing

    2016: Pixel/XL $649/769
    2017: Pixel 2/XL $649/849
    2018: Pixel 3/XL $799/899
    2019: Pixel 4/XL $799/899
    2020: Pixel 5 $699
    (inflation not represented)

  13. I have had a Pixel XL and a Pixel 3. I'm not displeased with the performance of the Pixel Series, outside the constant change of the UI. I was also very happy with the nexus line as well. I hope with how they are making standard pixels and the a models that they keep the a's as mid-range and start making high-end Pixels again. I have noticed that even Apple is taking advantage of having a range of iPhones instead of just making flagships with the 12 and Google should too.

  14. I bought the 5 it is my first pixel after always buying 1200$ and up phones. Didn't like it for the first 2 days but now I think it's a great phone. It just works really well. The only thing I wish it had is a brighter screen. But other than that it's great. Battery life is amazing

  15. I don't know how long it takes to fully charge it from 0 to 100 because it's always at least at 50 percent after a full day and I charge it at night while I sleep

  16. 2010: "What I want from a smartphone is good performance, a clean UI and great battery life" 2020: "Please for the love of god can someone make a decent phone with good battery life?"

  17. Pixel & especially Samsung need to start supporting there flagship device's software as long as Apple. The 6s from 2015 is still receiving updates where as the S9 and Pixel 2 have stopped despite still being technically capable…

  18. Business Opportunity in Ruvol

I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”

It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”

The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.

HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?

I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0

    BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!

It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

  19. I just hope we will at least have 1 Pixel lineup that doesn't have major hardware/software issues down the line. If I recall correctly, there were a couple class action lawsuits regarding certain pixel devices, along with some famous tech YouTubers calling out their Pixel phone's performance has gotten slower over time.

Now the new hotness seems to be the Camera/camera app acting weirdly for older Pixel devices.

  20. i got my Pixel 4a a few weeks ago and I love it, it's a massive jump up from the Alcatel Pixi 4 (still a good basic phone, just got slow) running Android 6 Marshmellow i had before the Pixel 4a, and i've been taking a lot more photos with it, mainly as i got a Nest Hub and Chromecast not too long after but still.

Even if i used the money i was going to buy a PS5 Digital Edition with, this is still worth it
