Factory Five Tear Down (Episode 2)

Link to Episode 1: https://youtu.be/ypAxwENLJHg

This video covers my initial tear down of the car including engine and transmission removal. I also fab up a center support so that I can mount the new ratchet shifter to the center console. This support also gives the body a little more structure. Later model Factory Five cars have a center support already included. I also talk about my plans for foot box support as well as other planned mods for this car.

  1. I hope the owner got a good enough deal on this half finished kit to warrant all of the labor hours to dismantle, clean, prep, and reassembly. Lots of work.

  2. I think by the time you clean everything up the project should have started out with a new kit
Cant see where money is saved by using something like that unless its your own but to pay someone to build it for a customer great deal for the mechanic doing the work on a time / material basis
