  1. Hopefully these tips are helpful. The weather has been horrible here with snow ever couple of days which has put a hamper on filming my regular How-To videos. Hopefully the snow melts soon! I have some awesome videos coming!!!

  2. Why would you take the snow off the carbody of the vehicle if it's not impeding vision? Wouldn't that be just more weight and therefore more traction?

  3. Keeping your gas tank full during cold days in general prevents condensation in the take. That's how you get rusted gas tanks, which creates debris in your tank.

  4. In the winter, we don't let our tanks go below the halfway mark. We live in a rural area about 20 to 30 miles from the nearest hospital. E-Crews are volunteers. So it's best to make sure we can get emergency medical treatment if the occasion should arise. We run our tanks down to E and do a fresh fill once the snow is done.

  5. I cover my windows on the side and my windshield with garbage bags, but I hold them down with magnets top and bottom. Just make sure you keep the magnets completely on the garbage bags, so they don't actually touch the paint…

  6. Adding weight is not necessarily safer. It is harder for you to start and to stop. The friction between the tire and the road is proportional to the weight. Otherwise, the big semi truck won't have more restrict chain control requirements.

  7. My mechanic caught me lifting my wiper blades, and warned me against it, it will loosen the tension on them over Tim, and you will loose the grade of contact to your windshield, and they won’t work as effectively, and will start to chatter when driving on the highway. That’s a safety issue.

  8. I bought a car cover, put it on for when I know it's going to snow a lot. It takes about 10 minutes to put on, has a zipper for the driver side door to get in, incase you forgot something or for starting your car first, then removing the snow is a breeze, it just glides off. Take off the cover, about 5 min., roll/fold up the cover, throw it in the back and off I go. I think I paid 70 bucks for it.

  9. That crazy bro something told me to do this for my Sequoia sr5 and I couldn't get the crub right. But not i was on to something and didn't know it.

  10. Wonder if I could buff some automotive wax on the bottom of my boots to mitigate how much snow builds up on them. It's so annoying getting tons of snow on my floor mats when I get into the car cause it won't melt once the temperatures stay below freezing so it'll just sit there and freeze to the carpet.
