  4. If DC becomes a state. I want to know where the capital is going to be moved too. The constitution says the capital can't be within the boundaries of a state.

  5. Re-draw the lines giving Virginia (now with their nut case government) and Maryland the land back. While we're at it, allow eastern Oregon to become part of Idaho since western Oregon is on an acid trip.

    So you mean to tell me that if I talk about electrical magnetic signals I go on a watch list? so you mean to tell me that the Mexican drug cartels can talk about electrical magnetic signals and get a watch list sent anywhere they want only to be met by semi-automatic weapons? lol, so three National Security units could be called today, 3 National Security units could be sent, and when the unit drives around with their cars, they will be met by semi-automatic weapons and gunned down in the street, they could continue  to send your National Security watch list, and then execute your watchlist when it arrives, three times a day, three military units gunned down, just like pulling fire alarms, they can control your whole army, just like the beaches of Normandy, you prove it bro…. lol for pretend OBVIOUSLY.

  8. In my opinion, if you are going to make DC a state, make it something like Berlin, which is a City-State. If it was going to be a regular state with a “capital city,” it just wouldn’t work In my opinion.

  9. A One-party state incoming. At first, it will appear normal because republicans will still exist. The courts will be packed, states that clearly lean in their favor will be added. You don't think I'm right, just look at California. They don't even bother to run a republican there, not even a democrat pretending to be a republican either, no they run two democrats.

    If they want statehood, give Maryland and Virginia back there land and keep all federal grounds neutral.

  18. It doesn’t matter how Congress votes on DC statehood. Congress has no authority to make or remove a state. The District of Columbia (DC) was created to provide neutral ground for the nation’s capital and seat of government. Congress can only return land to Virginia and Maryland (thereby reducing the size of DC).

  19. DC statehood is an absolute joke. Democrats are short sighted. Washington DC is only 62 sq miles big. Consider New York City is 302 sq miles. That's just the city. Our smallest state today, is Rhode Island and that's 1,045 square miles. New York state is roughly 55,000 sq miles.
    Why would you give to senators to a place only 69 sq miles?
    Democrats are short sighted because DC is now mostly black and poor. give it state hood and in 20 years it can be conservative and rich. The dems would have to fight to keep DC lower income of this super state would go to conservatives. These people are just dumb. DC can be annexed into Maryland. That's all it is worth. Maryland BTW is 30,000 square miles with only two senators. Why make a state out of 69 square miles unless you're really, really stupid.

  21. DC was purposely not supposed be a state and it would take a constitutional amendment to change that. DC is supposed to be a neutral area for government. We have imbeciles who are in office that won't be happy until we are living in a third world banana republic and dictatorship. This country is being destroyed by morons.

  22. as i understand it, DC was created using a piece of Virginia and a piece of Maryland.
    If the problem is that its too big and they want to make it smaller, then give back parts to Virginia and Maryland ?

    Making a new state seems to be a subversion of the intent of having a separate capital located outside the jurisdiction of any of the 50 states.

  23. Since DC is carved out from VA and MD simply roll them back to VA and MD and they will get the representation they need. Nothing more than a power grab by dirty politicians.

  25. 23rd amendment says no, I guess you guys forgot to read that part, DC is a city nothing more, however if you feel so strong about it, roll it into the state of Virginia or Delaware they’re just across the river
