Can it be repaired from below? You have to move too many things to do it from above.They might get damaged.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I had to do this on my 2003 RSX base today and your video made it much less nerve wracking. I noticed I had a CEL regarding the VTEC solenoid, and smelled oil under the hood, also noticing losing a significant amount. I was worried I had a major issue, came across this, traced the leak to the solenoid, and so far, so good. No more leaking!
Tricky operation; not for the fainthearted such as the over-the-weekend-amateur-mechanic.

Hey awesome thanks mate, when I did this I swear my car gained power? When I used cruise control it use to rev really hard to keep the speed, last night I did a 200kms drive to test if it turns my light off, but on cruise control she bearly reved at all and keeped speed much closer too

Did this job on a 06 CRV and still have a sizable oil leak from somewhere in that area. Its dry around the spool valve. Only seems to leak at higher RPM .Ideas?
Always enjoy your videos you describe everything perfect I'm about to do the same job on my 2005 Honda Accord. I'm going to change and clean out the screen filter connected to the engine right behind the pulley tensioner also you're right it was cuz of letting my oil go too long and real dirty so nice to see this video.

I’ve seen the screen filter of VTEC solenoids with lots of debris/dirt. If the oil and filter are regularly changed every 5000 miles, what else could causing the dirt/debris?

Eric nice job nice angles with the camera I have a quick question I have a 2006 Honda element with a K 24 as well I’m getting code P2646 which is rocker arm assembly stuck open bank 1 the symptoms are bad oil low oil pressure, or bad assembly altogether I changed everything that you just changed including the entire assembly with OEM Honda parts the code keeps coming back not sure how to fix it could you tell me what this could mean or point me in the right direction possibly? Much appreciated
