I bought a Flood Salvage Totaled E46 BMW M3 with the Rare 6 Speed Manual Transmission. The previous owner couldn’t figure out its electrical issue. It’s by far the cheapest in the country but only if we can figure out its problem and fix it!

  1. Sweet job done on this flood damaged m3 looks great mags are splendid and I agree with changing the rear lights removing the horrible black paint on the bonnet

  2. I love M series BMWs and Alpena(s) they make such great lawn ornaments. Modern Mercedes Benz make great paperweights too . . . if you don't mind the oil and coolant stains.

  3. You know an E46 was owned by a ricer/incompetent car owner when you see those black taillights, they are like a 'standard' when youre a ricer for these cars

  4. Hey Sam. Did you solve the charging issue? Someone mentioned the positive battery cable. Another possible cause, is a bad ground due to the flood. Also, I’ve had issues with phantom draw. Once the car has been shut off for about 10 minutes, check the charge level of the battery. Check ohms being drawn, it should be less than 0.1 milliamps. If it’s higher than that, it’s time to start tracing wiring for any cracks, exposed wiring bared due to chafing possibly touching metal. This could be the source of a phantom, or unaccounted for draw.

  5. 17:00 of course it did not help. Soaked in oil is how an e46 operates. Oil all over the engine bay is like slime all over a snail. They go hand in hand with each other.
