  1. Officer Brite or other Law officers if you read this , when police go out to a house & their is a person with mental issues do you inform family members to lock up all weapons ?

  2. God bless you for not giving up…I can't begin to imagine how hard it's been for you.I know your family is thrilled that you are still there with them.🙋‍♀️❤🌹

  3. You are a hero officer Brite. Not only did your selfless actions save countless other innocent lives that day but you continue to save countless others by giving them a safe place to recover mentally after the trauma they endure working as officers.

  4. As I listened to this Ex-Officer I'm Sad to say tht I felt for him ☝🏾but as ah BlkW I'm almost ashamed to admit it 😔 Where's tht towards me an my ppl🤦🏾‍♀️

  5. I like this show because it drops some hard truths. Sadly the issue wasnt adressed. Police training should allow compassion, since they arent, they suppress those feelings and shoot people because theyve had other problems pent up and explode.

  6. Brave chap, I respect him for coming to terms with his new reality and for opening up to his emotions. Many men could learn from his example.

  7. I was shot twice, at work, once in the neck, once in the abdomen. The exit scares are right on top of my spine. A bullet passed through my diaphragm, left kidney, colon exited nicking my spine. I can relate sooo much to your emotions, feelings…everything! I suffer from PTSD. My critical thinking is gone. I once was a force to be reckoned with. Today, I recon I am forced to face anything.

  8. Thank you for your service! You've now been lead to a different but so very, very important type of service! God bless you on this part of your career!

  9. 💙 GOD BLESS YOU DEPUTY DAN BRITE 💙 YOU ARE TRULY A HERO GOOD SIR! MAY GOD KEEP YOU & YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY FOREVER BLESSED 🙏
ALSO YOUR LEO FAMILY AS WELL 😇🙏👮🙏🚔💙💙💙

  10. YOU SIR ARE AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND! That man was a coward, couldn't pull the trigger on himself so ruined other people's lives. Mental health is so important and it's not talked about enough.

  11. He said yeah the guy had problems before with the officers why didn’t they take the guns the first time. Somethings wrong with Colorado they need to check that out.

  12. I am so sorry this happened to you. You are such a positive tower of strength. I am glad you are opening doors that were long overdue being opened. Parts of this remind me of Zach Parrish, which breaks my heart. God bless you for your work.

  13. This is insane… mad props to this officer & the other ones as well. I feel bad for the mentally ill suspect🤦🏾‍♀️ I wish he would’ve been open to & could’ve gotten some help

  14. Officer Brite, thank you for not giving up. That is the most herioic part of your story. The daily choice to keep going, and fight the good fight against anger, depression, bitterness. Your example makes you a hero to your family and to me. You are not alone.
