Of course, the one time someone sending money to Africa is NOT a scam they flag the transaction. I worked at a drug store that did WU transactions for several years. I’ve always hated them

How come that on 3/17/20 it was 2157 remaining to reach the goal and today, 4/24/21, its 2442 remaining to reach the goal?
We should all bombard western Union with tweets on this story, they need to sort their shit out, imagine being told you can't send the money and then they steal 60 in fees, oh wait you don't have to imagine because it's reality, they're the real scammers!

I mean.. you have to understand that preventing you from sending $1300 to Africa has saved innocent people millions. Sucks for this particular story but if I was on the other end of the call I wouldn’t send it either.

Don't know if anyone else have covered this off but when a stop is put on a payment by the DOJ (Department of Justice) or other part of the government, the company (in this case Western Union) is not legally permitted to tell you why there is a stop payment. It's a weird situation, but they are compelled to stay silent.
There are plenty of others who would gladly welcome your business. There is Taptap., Sendwave and good old Remitly.

Your problem can be solved very easily if you stop using centralized means to send money. Use cryptocurrency.
