Good luck with that method. The only way to sort this mess out is to replace the entire police force and replace it with a new generation of cops. At the moment you have good cops being trained by bad cops.
This man needs to be training ALL police and bringing trauma informed policing everywhere.

The only way these sensless killings will be stopped is if we actually make the cops who do it pay for it. They should be required to purchase insurance like doctors and nurses have to do for possible malpractice cases
Police on the most part escalate situations instead of de escalate situation and the truth about it is that the clansman has infiltrated the force. Hence in most cases it is matters of the heart. You can not legislate a wicked heart. If police worked on building trust with the communities they serve, they would be able to solve many crimes. So much for serving and protecting.
This isn’t the case everywhere, but I do live in a county in Georgia where the police have a more positive impact on our community, so I feel grateful for that, but it isn’t the case in the majority of the US. My case is the exception, not the rule. It’s important for them to connect with their community.
It’s pretty simple. Teach these people how to comply with simple commands and not resist arrest every single time. It’s very rare that the men killed haven’t excessively resisted or fled from the scene. Why is it that the majority of white men comply and they don’t end up on the receiving end of any use of force. The Government needs to impermanent a new insurance program for police officers, a malpractice insurance for police officers, for cowboy actions,racist actions,,and innocent death of an American citizen of any race,religion or sexual orientation,,with each strike upon one's insurance that officers rates would increase to the point of to high and the insurance corporation cancels the policy,,no insurance no police position or job.this insurance pays for any future law suits in which the officer is sued for wrong doing or any criminal acts and the insurance pays the law suits not the American tax payer nor the county, city or state and after a year of great police service of paying your insurance and great service to the American people whom they took an oath to serve and protect, that officer should receive back 100 % of all money payed into the policy at the end of each year,strikes means less percentage at the end of each year…SO IT PAYS TO BE A GREAT POLICE OFFICER…

Police lost respect when they started letting drug king rein and being BOUGHT for money. Setting people up to look good on the force. The young ones came in beating and fighting. Shooting people full of bullets with no gun or weapon..putting drugs in people cars or on the body respect is earned..Dressing up at night getting un marked cars shooting causing havoc to look good. As a truck driver i have a record of my cvor . It is a record that follows my driving career, why are police not issued the same thing. A permanent record of all complaints,discipline,training ect. That could be monitored by a governing body that weeds out bad cops and preventing bad apples jumping jurisdictions.There is no such thing as a good cop when there are still bad cops. Training has little to do with it. Ask yourself why Indian, Chinese, Arab and Jewish communities somehow aren't being brutilized and killed by the police? Because those groups have an economic base and practice strong groupism. Because African people have been historically enslaved, Jim Crowed and otherwise oppressed we cannot behave as other ethnic groups do. If we are always referring to ourselves as "minorities" we'll always remain psychologically oppressed. How are we minorities if there are a billion African people in this world? The first thing we need is police that don't always carry a gun on them & respond with their brains instead of always using a weapon as their first option. The second thing we need is more mental health facilities in every state. We quit funding mental health facilities in the '80-90's to save on taxes. Now we've got streets full of homeless people who have serious mental issues who should be in some form of treatment. If we had facilities to take these people to, instead of jail, they could get the help they actually need. This is what "defunding the police" means: reallocation of some of the money from bloated police budgets to mental health facilities & officers, who report with the police & assess if someone is having a mental health issue
