The Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines warned locals to leave the “highly dangerous” Caribbean island after the La Soufriere volcano continued to erupt on Monday.

  13. I wish to thank ABC and GMA for bringing attention to the events of the volcano eruption on my home island of St Vincent and the Grenadines. However, I would stress that you pay particular attention to what you state as facts. The Prime Minister is NOT pleading for residents to leave the island, but rather to leave those areas classified as the “Red Zone”. Those areas are closest to the volcano.You made it sound like the entire island is being evacuated. My thoughts and prayers are with the people, and especially my family, on the beautiful island of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

  19. The entire island is not being asked to evacuate only persons nearest the volcano (in the northern tier) on the red zone are being moved to the safer green zone on the southern end of the island.

  20. Your report is inaccurate. There is a Red Zone to the North of the island that has been evacuated with a few people choosing to remain. They are appealing to those persons to evaluate immediately. Also lava flows are not reaching the seas. It's Pyroclastic Flows, that is made up of super heated rocks, ash, and gasses that are reaching the sea.

We here in Bermuda are praying earnestly for all of the people of St Vincent, their farms, properties and animals, that God will help them by keeping them safe and healthy, with the strength and means to deal with such a calamity as this. Also, that any needed help will arrive to them promptly. We also pray similarily, for the nearby islands impacted by the volcano eruption like Barbados and for any other place in the world known and unknown impacted by any natural distress. We also pray for the healing of the world from the Covid19 Viruses and any other type of viral outbreak, and that you will rid the world of them all. We give thanks to Thee O God for hearing our prayers and answering the call. Hallowed be Your Name, Your Kingdom Reign, Your Will be Done on Earth as it IS in Heaven, for To You is the Power and the Glory for Ever. We thank you for sending your son Jesus/Yeshua and for giving us YOUR HOLY SPIRIT! Forgive us our transgressions as we forgive those who have transgressed against us, for the Kingdom, this world and all other worlds are YOURS. Praise be to Thee Our Heavenly Father!
