  1. The news must have failed to report key facts in this story. The shooter was a black student at THAT school. THAT "student" was found in the bathroom stall and when the armed student was confronted by police, an officer and the armed student were shot. This has nothing to do with mental illness, gun control, school district policies or police policies. It has to do WITH a gang banging "student" who carries a gun to school and police were notified that that person was on school grounds. So one scenario for police is a possible active shooter on campus. They find the dirt bag in a bathroom stall along with his buddy and order him out of the stall. He doesn't come out so police contact him and the armed suspect gets shot. Now should the dirtbag brought the gun to school? Is that against the law? When confronted by police verbally should the suspect have complied? If he complied would he have been shot? Even after the suspect decided to bring a gun to school he had options that would have kept him from becoming a statistic. Why does a 17 year old bring a gun to school. Would a textbook have been better? What possesses a person to pick up a gun and stick it in his pants pocket as he readies for a day of learning? Did you know of anyone who thought that way when they were in high school? Parents? Society today is so far removed from the facts and truth that there is no cause and effect analysis. Instead it is just a police shooting. There were a hell of a lot of things that happened in the 17 years before that shooting that had nothing to do with police and something to do with the ONE "parent" that was there.

  2. This is why cops need to die just as equally it’s never gonna stop till we put these officers in caskets simple as that then maybe they’ll think twice before they pull a gun when they think of their friend who got smoked

  3. Austin East High/Magnet is ranked 250th within Tennessee. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Austin East High/Magnet is 18%. The total minority enrollment is 87%.

  4. Unbelievable. Unhappy people everywhere in this world. Politicians are not gods. Stop treating them like it. DEMAND BETTER GUN CONTROL

  5. The Biden administration is behind all these shootings trying to take the guns from the law abiding citizens.

  6. Gun violence truly is an epidemic in this country. Harsher punishments won't do a damn thing because the majority of shooters are either so depressed or angry they don't care about the consequences or are too fucked in the head to consider them.

What we need is all gun sellers to require background checks and mark guns with serial numbers. We need to track gun trafficking and the proliferation of illegal 'ghost' guns. We need red flag laws so that tragedies can be prevented — like the Columbine shooting (their parents had plenty of evidence that both boys were fucked up, but all they could do is force them to fake it through therapy)

Assault weapon bans and high-magazine bans? Maybe not very effective, probably won't pass Congress.

The "radical right" is "too afraid" to call gun violence an "epidemic" but that's what it is, and we need an actual solution rather than repeating the old "good guys with guns" strawman ad nauseam (which I agree with, to some extent. But it doesn't actually propose a solution. Our police don't have the funding to put 1-2 "good guys with guns" at each school. Giving teachers guns? Now you're getting somewhere, I guess).

  7. “We brought racism back full blown now we want to get rid of guns. Get news to report on shootings in Republican states, make it seem like it never happens in blue states.” Who cares that Kamala Harris is too concerned about the White House decorations to give a care about the piles of burritos in the south border.
