Caveat emptor: original OEM battery from LG sells for ~$40. "New" OEM batteries available from other sources for ~$10 but may be as old as the phone. (:-( (I got one dated 2016-03 – a month older than my original phone battery! Technically, "new" but sitting on a shelf for 42 months.) Consider highly rated third party battery.
If only all phones were like that. To change the battery without breaking the back cover or lcd…damn you apple and samsung. LG did smth amazing with the G5

The problem with the bottom clip it can get really loose and no longer need to use the tiny button so it just falls of and unclips. I had to use celotape to keep it in

I have just swapped my battery for a new one and after approx. 2/3 minutes the display shows invalid battery and shuts down. the original battery is fine but will not last a full day so I figured a new one was best. Any advice on what the problem is. just before anyone asks. yes it is an original battery.
