got an XZ last autumn, my first Sony and Android phone ever, the look is amazing even though I hate the headjack hole (it's not flat and pops out a little bit), performance is great, never heatens up even when I intensively run it as hotspot and open bunches of applications. Camera is stunning too, however it takes a little while to process taken photos. The only thing I hate is that the phone shuts off when pulling sim card out.

if it's anything like the other Sony cameras it'll be overheating and shutting off! And what is it 8 years with that design?.. I just use voice dictation on the Google keyboard for ios/iPhone, night and day difference! the iPhone keyboard voice dictation completely blows!
This phone is amazing but can't help but wait to see what the Pixel 2 is like before buying this. If not for the Pixel line would be an instant buy. Only thing is, I feel like 4K on that size of a screen is not worth the performance and battery life burden. At 2K with the 835 this thing would operate without any hiccups at all I'd imagine.

anyone know if this will have the ability to do a line in external microphone for higher quality sound capture? ie an hd pcm recording device tethered to the aux in line by a std male male connecting cable? i have been trying to find out details on any of these [not just sony but samsung etc] to be able to upgrade sound capture processing since i have a pcm recorder that can process true stereo capture at greater than cd quality ie 320 kbs , i have found the built in microphones athough good for conversation and casual videos, but the built in equalizers tend to wash volume fluctuations out which are critical when recording some things like instrumental performance, etc

I fucking love the design of this phone. Simple and elegant, and those Bezels don`t bother me at all. For me they even add some solid touch to it. I don`t know, i just love it.
