  1. That's not the definition of zero day… Zero Day means the vendor has not been made aware of the vulnerability, hence the timer is started at 0 days.

  2. Sounds like people need to get off the internet. Go back to as400 type computer systems that are backed up by each company and thier information does not go out of its building. Same with power grids. We need individual power companies in each state or have a few in each state. Too much centralized power. Same with money. People need to keep cash on hand in case the debit machines go down. So many people have lost thier jobs over the last 30yrs due to technology. Is it really a benefit?
I bet if people turned of thier TV's and left thier phones at home they would feel better just based on what is actually happening around them. Reports like this make me want to totally disconnect. My bank account was hacked 3 weeks ago. Makes me want to just shut the acct down. Your money is not yours the moment you deposit it anyhow. Since last crash 2009 Frank Dodd act allows banks to keep all assets to keep themselves afloat. I don't know. Is technology really adding that much to our lives? Maybe if we are lazy and impatient. I like human interaction myself. But we all live our own realities.

  3. Comes from the idiocy of insisting that machines will save us .
    How's that working for ya?
I've always found the human duck blind creepy.
    Still do.

  4. Having listened to Chris Krebs babble on for 5 minutes, it's obvious he doesn't have any understanding of the underlying technologies or a broader understanding of the cyber security industry as a whole. It's a joke that someone like him is a "cyber security Director", I wouldn't mind so much if he at least looked presentable and talked articulately.

  5. No one make mistakes in code except amateurs. Microsoft intentionally creates backdoors and exploits so the NSA can access computers with their tools (prism). Then when the NSA accidently leaks its tools online, they rush to ask the public to update and patch their computers.

  6. Certain things should not be connected to the internet, neither use server-client technology such as Ajax or to be configurable through text based code such as XML.

Paranoia isn't so bad when it comes to sensitive devices. I believe many developers are irresponsible or pushed too hard to innovate.

Everyone knows that the safest device is the one you turn off.

  8. Here's an idea,,,,, Let's tie up President Time wth Bogus Charges and Impeachments . Who cares about this. It's not part of the Narrative.

  9. You mean someone else is stalking me and my children besides epstiens heros ?????? Oh no now I'm angry about my data and constitutional rights . Thank God the marines have a printer !!!!! Now they can retire . It seems unrelated because you dont understand how old the marines are

  10. It doesn't help that Trump had some of his cult members in all the government agencies plugging in usb sticks in all the computers for Trump, who in turn was doing it for his Vladdy.

  11. "likely Russian origin"? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right! It's all Russians' fault that they did not try their best to stop US from doing so many evil things for so long!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  12. Corporations outsource code to Russia, China, India to save money, and then make American's people and government PAY MORE when software attacks COME FROM THE SAME COUNTRIES.

  13. Zero Day means it's a newly discovered unpatched flaw.. The US designed and executed the centrifuge hacks. A CIA 3rd party contract employee leaked the toolkit, it wasn't stolen. The kit was then improved and turned on us..

  14. Another big issue is also "Where is our code developed!" , most of the time it is outsourced to "Untrustable" countries jus for cost reasons, but potential consequences are just not taken into account!!

  15. Lack of cyber education is a major thread too, most people a just unaware of the dangers, and how their personal details can be useful for "fishers" even by phone!

  16. So basically every US companies have created backdoor into their code by order of the USA.

We know that Intel chips have hardware backdoor.
Apple do not consider zero day as important , a few iteration of iOS had critical holes but was only updated in the next version.

  17. Right, CHINA CHINA CHINA, yeah China did all the bad things.
We, American, are peace lovers who love killing civilians in middle east

  18. Ok it's official- Chuck Todd is not qualified to report on cybersecurity. Those were informed guests making carefully measured assertions about the risk this represents, and the host seemed to just be aiming for a little mild alarmism with maybe a dash of casual fear-mongering. He diluted the message.

Also his explanation of the term "zero day" was 🤔🤔🤔
