Huawei watch hands-on

Russell takes a look at the new Huawei Watch. Quality and style define Huawei’s first foray into Smartwatches. A 42mm stainless steel casing, 400×400 resolution along with a 1.4MLED display make that very clear. A full familiar full circle design makes it look like a watch first, not gadget. The battery has a claimed one hour charge with the included magnetic pin charger. This is an Android Wear 1.3 device, so the software is pretty standard with the exception of an auto brightness mode. There are 6 designs starting at $350 stainless stell casing with a leather band all the way up to $800 rose gold option. There are plenty of watch bands available to choose from, but with a 21mm strap you can also supply your own. The Huawei watch wins serious point on pretty, but it’s a solid contender rather than the superior watch many had hoped for.
