CDC director successfully destroyed any hope of the "new" CDC having any credibility. Everyone says listen to the scientists…I didn't hear any science here. Just drama. Vaccinations are what will keep this surge from being worse than the last. How about some hope? And when will they stop spewing statistics for COVID as if it were the only ailment on earth? What good does it do to know how many cases there have been since this virus started? It has been over a year now. How does this compare to other ailments and causes of death? CDC says the death rate went up by 15.9% in 2020. That's not good, and I know those lives were individuals with families…its hard…but that should be lower this year with vaccinations and us knowing more about the disease and treating it. So none of this equals the "Doom" that CDC director is talking about. CDC, stop with the doomsday narrative just to suppress our economy and our freedoms. Every part of the economy should be open with safety protocols. We should now be learning to live with this virus since it will never be 100% eradicated.
