That engine is hurt. The engine noise combined with the low HP numbers tell me it's got some issues. I'm guessing it chewed some cam lobes or lifters.

See you installed stud girdles on the valve train, witch manufacturer did you choose? I myself have a Blueprint 632 in my boat(Daytona 250 Eliminator) the last 3 years but have had 3 incidents with valve rocker stud snapping off so a girdle woukd stsbilise the valvetrain i guess🙂. Oh and by the way i got rid of the crankcase pressure with lots of oil spill with a coupple of 20mm nippless welded on the oilpan just under the flange of the pan, with hoses to a good breathing catch tank,.
And to think not only do we have a legend of the McFarland Mullet….now there's also the freaking Freedom Factory!
