My father was never around, had me going through the ringer emotionally from 5 years old until i emotionally gave up at 11 and only went to see him when court ordered me to. My mom married my step dad a year later and got pregnant with my sister. 1 day before my mom went into labor my step father adopted me. How emotional she is in this video is exactly how I feel every year when my "2nd Birthday" comes around. It's truly amazing to know and see that you can love and parent a child as if you held them when they were just born. My dad is an amazing man and growing up I never thought i would be able to say that and actually 120% mean it from my heart. Without him, I would have never trusted a man again.
