  1. i was gonna use it as a sort of desktop replacement. Like attach my hdmi inside a monitor and use the controller as a sort of keyboard. So i can play youtube or browse the web or play google store games.

  2. Hey Android Central .. we know the specs of this tablet much before u know ..
This is no where a review .. just the specs ..
Post something good with a through review ..
Dont waste our time as well as ur time .. else update the description of the video saying its a preview.

  3. even if you are going to buy just for a tablet alone it's worth the price. is a very powerful machine even to play games from google play store without the controller. and you do have the options to buy a cheaper controller. I'm going to buy just as a tablet at first and after i will get a controller.

  4. Looks like a solid tablet, although I'll stick with my Nexus 7. We'll see what Android L optimization will do to improve performance, notably in gaming.

  5. Looks like a very good tablet. Are you wanting people to read the review on the site instead of watching the review on YouTube? I'm a little disappointed with this review. More like a quick look or hands on. This can be the only video review….

  6. Buying this for hone use. I wouldn't use it on the go unless I'm going to a appropriate place such as relatives and friends. It has a full controller so I'm hooking this bad boy up to my TV for gaming and will use it in bed for tablety stuff, I love using tablets they are so comfortable

  7. Way too fast of a review, no mention of the hdmi and how games perform overall. I'd like the review to be at least a minute longer to include everything.

  8. Nice, but the top/bottom bezels are too big (esp. with speakers) and wish there were a 3gb RAM option. A slighter larger screen would be cool too, but 7.9" is at least better than 7". Stupid naming with the Shield Portable though since BOTH devices are portable. They should've called the old one "Shield Handheld" or something.

  9. 400$! Are you fucking kidding me? I wish I had bought this instead of my piece of shit ipad 4! Which in fact cost 700$ w/out accessories. Add another 100 just for a fucking case! I'm never going back to apple again. Horrible battery, terribly expensive device, and just overall unforgiving with all its bugs and update and shit. I'm glad this is android powered. Can't wait to get my hands on one!

  10. i'd have to travel a lot and subsequently be aware from home a lot to justify sitting down with a conroller to squint at a tablet to get some gaming time in

  11. would like a better review of this tablet .. I'd want to know:
how does the screen perform? In daylight?
Is it active cooling like the old shield? Or is it water resistant like the Samsung and Sony ones?
How does the pen perform for foreign language input? For artists? What is the software ecosystem like for people who want to use it for things besides games?
