  1. The gratification that we get from social media and video games is what makes it fun, and at times addictive. If parents, teachers, religious leaders, managers etc are concerned about this, then you should evaluate why children don't find fun or gratification in real world interactions. I recently tried to find books and started to view life as this huge open world game and explore my creative and gratified mind to find interactions away from a screen much more interesting.

  2. Is this information actually surprising for anyone? Obviously not having actual human interaction when humans are a communal animal would have catastrophic results! That should be common sense!

  3. ROBOTIC BORING TEST DRIVEN TEACHERS ARE WORST ON SCREEN….HALF OF THEIR DAY IS SPENT NAGGING STUDENTS ABOUT CLASSROOM RITUALS AND PROCEDURES…AND THE OVERPAID ADMINISTRATORS RUNNING AROUND LIKE CHICKENS…OH NO..SKY IS FALLING . PROBABLY OFF THEIR COMFY BOSS POSITION…ASSISTANT OF THE ASSISTANT TO THE ASSISTANT..

  4. Can't imagine big screen time; while you already have a demanding work life in front of a lot of screen time to begin with. At least a professional is that FINALLY admitting too much screen time can actually contribute to violence in reality.
Bravo to this very smart mom that was able to get her very smart kid to both comprehend & write about the dangers of video addiction.

  5. As a 15 year old I wish that my screen time was more restricted when I was younger. Parents have to teach their kids how to regulate their own screen time.

  6. Well when you have no friends, strict parents, social anxiety, etc. your phone is pretty much your best friend. There’s everything on the internet, you can find a lover, watch videos from people from all over the world, take pictures, communicate with people, play games, I could go on forever. I know that parents just want the best for us, but at this point, their just jealous that they didn’t get to experience this as kids.
