  1. Almost a year late…but as soon as i saw that strait cut gear i tought it was odd haha…that got confirmed when i saw the new shaft with 4 helicals lol

  2. At 19:14 before they put the gear selector on. The gear it goes over is shown and looks damaged.. I’m not a transmission builder so idk. Maybe it’s supposed to be like that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. The tool you need I do believe they call it a Bearing Splitter or Separator , there is 2 sizes usually , check them out they are a game changer ,

  5. This is actually a great video for explaining transmissions. i've tried watching those 3d model videos about transmissions but this is the best explanation i've seen

  6. Dang I rebuilt my first trans about 3yrs ago and I did some things wrongs but after I got it right it got higher low end torque with high end frictions and kolene plates he’ll yeah brother

  7. 17:10 Easier way to get bearing race like that off. Take a cut off wheel and put a notch in it parallel to the shaft, as deep as ya can without hitting the shaft of course. Then put a chisel in the notch and whack it hard. This will crack the bearing race where you notched it and it comes off super easy at that point.

  8. Cletus……I have to say sir, I dont think you where prepared to work on this transmission, I mean there isnt a Mt. Dew on that table sir. What the hell where you thinkin. Probably y it all went south!!

  9. Just a thought, why dont you sell the broken parts? I have a piston from John Force from when he blew up at our local track here in Ontario Canada, lm sure there will be a line-up. Great job on the drag week vids!

  10. just an fyi your "bearing annihilator 9000" pulled off the actual bearing, the race is the part that goes over the bearing on the other side, just wanted to clear that up for ya
