  1. Bam! Just picked this up today for $79.99 + I got a free $50 Google Play Gift card. So basically got this Smart watch for $30. This is a no brainier at this price. Best Buy, Google, and Groupon have it on sale right now for Cyber Monday.

  2. I got this for $130 and it's coming in the mail. Thanks Telus!

Hopefully after installing a new watch band, preferably a stainless steal black one… it'll look quite nice! Maybe comparable to my Gear 2 Neo.

  3. what a sad looking thing compared to moto 360…btw – lg/google dropped this thing by $50 on google play store because they sense slaughter coming from moto 360.

  4. I don't see any kind of integration between the phone and the watch. Why should I put alarms for the watch itself separately ? shouldn't the watch tell me what is my next alarm that I have already set in my phone ?

  5. The dim display completely defeats the most basic functionality of the watch, making it next to useless outside.
Far better if manufactures start looking at using colour e-ink displays which would make more sense in terms of visibility and battery saving.

  6. Go ahead and buy one of these 1st-gen devices, I'm not even going to bother with them. They simply aren't the best bang for the buck, but at least they're trying to progress I guess.

  7. Why the fuck are companies being so stupid about smart watches? Wrists are wide, make a fucking WIDE screen. This thing could be double or even triple the width with the same height and wouldn't be any less comfortable to wear, and actually have usability. That, and it should offload all computation to a phone connected over bluetooth.

  8. So the Gear Live can be seen outside, but the charging mechanism has been breaking. The G Watch has a better designed charger, but is useless outside.

    Siiiggghhhhhh…..
