Trying to BLOW UP a Rotary at 10,000 RPM

Michael Vargas of Angel Motorsports of VA puts on one hell of a show at Cleetus & Cars Florida in his 1974 Mazda “Repu” Rotary Powered Pickup – He had some struggles finding fuel at the track, by the time he did he was only able to make one pass, so he decided to try and blow up the FD RX7 13B two rotor engine that he had built at the shop… the fire show was EPIC!

  1. A lot of piston engines would have given up around 3:07. Man I missed this video, what a fun one to come back to.

Just nuts. And they WON this year! Kudos to the Vargas Brothers.

  2. For why ?
Blow up a motor for fun ?
    It isn't fun at all.
Amount of carbon dioxide go in to air for jut manufactur this engine is a lot.
If he don't want the engine ,donate it !
At least someone use it in better way.
And destroying cars isn't part of being "car guy" !
