We finally made it to the UK for Doorslammers 2019 – IT WAS AWESOME! Santa Pod Raceway takes the traditional drag racing culture and nearly creates a holiday out of it! Celebrating some of Europe’s most incredible builds, amazing culture, and some of the most positively impactful people we’ve ever met was only a small part of what we took away from our first time at Santa Pod Raceway. Lol, I remember when Richie Webb got called out for cheating at a Bugorama event in Sacramento CA many years back. He was believed to have been using a larger size engine than the class allowed and was required to “pump” his engine to prove the displacement. He packed up his car and left the event after he was notified of the required “pump”. I believe he was banned for failing to comply.

In high school I built a 68 Camaro with nitrous oxide kit. It was an everyday driver and was fast as hell by itself. I was afraid to use the nitrous oxide because I was worried it would blow up. I found another use for it. I ran a bypass tube up under the seat and we just inhaled it. Yeah, nuts huh? But we had a lot of laughs! Like the Pink Panther Dentist scene. Laughing without nothing being funny. Couldn't help it.
