  1. Hey guys, The best ideas that I have read was on Volt daddy (just google it) Probably the most detailed info on batteries and this type of that I have found.

  2. Hey all, the best info that I've seen was on Volt daddy (I found it on google). I bet its the most helpful info on batteries and this same gear that I've found

  3. Turns out it was the idler tension pulley bearing had gone bad and was eating through the shaft after it ate through the bearing. Got it fixed and the whining is gone now. I probably wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't got down in there and taken a better look.

Thanks for what you do man.

  4. Hi, I need your help please, I have a Subaru Legacy 1998 with ej20 sohc, spark plugs wires sit directly on the cylinder head, not the one with spark plugs wires through the valve cover

Throttle with wire not the fully electric one

    Running with obd1 computer

It is front wheel drive not AWD

Can I put on an ej25 on my car? And which ej25 will fit in direct without replacing parts and without modifications on electrical harnesses ?

  5. Regarding trailer wiring connectors. I had a 93 GMC Sonoma that kept blowing the signal light fuse and running extremely rough with frequent stalling. Did the obvious checks with no help. While thinking about the problem, I turned on the key and the signal lights. I oddly heard a clicking from the TBI every time the signal lights flashed. Pulled off the air cleaner, repeated the test and sure enough, every time a signal light flashed the TBI fired in a shot of fuel. I tore that truck apart looking for the cause. Finally, after hours of searching, I noticed a plug in trailer harness tied up around the left rear frame rail. I unraveled the wires and found a chafed spot that was able to contact the frame. Unplugged the add on harness, reconnected the original connectors and all problems were instantly solved. Weird! It was a 2.8 V6 5 speed. Thanks for the great vids Eric! Hope my experience helps someone.

  6. 47:00 try checking temps, coolant sensors, engine temp sensors, temp gauge, thermostat, even radiator to see if they are all within spec.  chances are it's probably at least one of those things.  especially if the gauge doesn't appear right.

  7. #1) Zetec's kill converters.  Went through 6 of them to find a good one that didn't give out the 420 code.  1995-1996 Focus

#2) lifting a vehicle safely is key.  make sure you have redundant safety / failsafe as Eric said.    Do a video on that Eric??

  8. missed the show. wanted to ask about manual transmission noises. only happens in 5th gear while accelerating. sounds like a skateboard bearing. a bearing doesnt make sense to me because a bearing would make noise at all RPM, not just in 5th. i did an oil change and found no metal bits. when i did the clutch in december i put the transmission threw all its gears and checked play and didnt find any noticeable ware in any gear inc 5th. i put a bottle of lucas oil stabalizer in to see if itd help and it did make it quieter. any ideas? this is a 1987 4 runner 4×4

  9. Hi Eric, I know this video is already over, but I'd like to ask you a favor. I have done a major engine rebuild on my acura 35rl after having overheating issues. nvm The car runs fine, power output is probably even better as it was before but I am having one issue. The engine is shaking at exactly 1330rpm nothing above and below. As I am willing to take the engine out again I would consider changing the crankshaft bearings also but I have a problem of not knowing how to measure the crankshaft or the block to know which bearings are suitable. So my question would be. Do you happen to have some old block and a crankshaft around where you could demonstrate how to measure those things? I am ready to buy the necessary gear but I can't find any comprehensive video about this on youtube. THANK YOU A LOT for any answer. Keep the good videos coming!

  10. ETCG, I have a 05 2.3 ranger my abs false activates every time i touch the brakes. I hear the motor humming even when Im not touching the brakes.Codes were only shown for faulty speed sensors so I replaced them still happens. Most of the time (its pretty random) I'll drive and my abs module will hum for about 30 seconds and then abs totlly shuts off and gives me an abs light. Done everything idea people have given me. Any help?

  11. Hello Erick I have a nissan maxima 2001 and i want to now why my car makes sounds in the middle of the car i already replace the suspension arms and the sounds keep in there, someone say is something with the muffle.

  12. I have a 2003 chevy tahoe 5.3l. If i start it with the ac on, the idle goes up and down but then if i give it some gas it corrects itself. If i start it without ac, it runs fine. Any suggestions on what to do?

  13. My 2001 E46 is making a hell of a rattle over bumps in the road. It's coming from the front bumper, right hand side. any ideas? also it's a British spec, so all the steering stuff is on the other side if that matters.

  14. Hello Eric, i have a problem with a Ford Escort's engine.
It somehow idles and revs itself and even accelerating without even pressing the gas.

  15. Hey Eric, I have a diesel renault clio, on start up I get plooms of blue smoke out ot the exhaust pipe until after 10 mins of driving. What could be causing it?

  16. Hello Eric, Is it possible to change the fuel Temperature Sensor on a perfectly working Fuel pump on my 2003 Nissan Sentra 1.8L? (i don't wan't to change the entire pump set-up if I could just change the temp Sensor on the pump. The only code it's throwing is for the fuel Pump Temp Sensor)

  17. Hey Eric I have a 2006 Infiniti qx56 and the temp never goes above one bar regardless of the season is it thermostat or something else, thanks

  18. why does the air in my vehical blow low on the higest setting, it not as good as when i got the vehical, its a 1996 chevy silverad0

  19. Hey Eric,
My name is Jason and I own a 2006 Ford Fusion SE. It has 80k miles on the vehicle. The previous owner had always ran 5w20 full synthetic. I still run full synthetic but in the manual it says 3000 miles or 3 months. With Synthetic oil being able to changed at a higher mile, should I change it at the higher mile since it's synthetic? Or continue changing the oil at 3000 miles/3 months. Thanks for everything that you do, it's much appreciated.

  20. How much engine oil would a GMC Acadia 2007 need because I did oil change earlier and I added 4.75 quarters would that be enough or is it to much? It keeps marking that it's low on oil still will that take a bit to get off? Thanks!

  21. I have a 2003 ford crown Victoria. The transmission shifts rough from 3rd gear to 4th (overdrive) and will shutter. What is the recommended fix to it?

  22. Eric, thanks for the help in advance. My question is when you remove a front cv axle do you remove the tie rod and wheel hub? also does the front cv axle just get pryed out with a big screwdriver?

  23. Eric..great show.  I've got a 2003 Honda Accord EX-L.  Last Year I changed the Radiator and hoses and immediately afterwards, I noticed that the Air conditioning was not as cold.  I bled the radiator fully as per your videos.  What i don't get is…why would changing the Radiator change how the air conditioning works?

Anyhow, I have since attempted to add a bit of r134a refrigerant to alleviate the problem.  I now have issues with my air con.  The compressor clunks on occasion and sometimes does not blow cold..but this varies.  My next move is to get the system evacuated and refilled to the correct refrigerant level.  What do you think?

    Thanks!

  24. Hey Eric I recently worked on a 2002 honda civic coupe ex with the 1.7 vtec engine. The timing belt broke. I have rebuilt the head put new valves In and seated them. New crank sensor I adjusted the valves and its getting fire and its getting compression about 115 psi on all 4 and all timing marks line up. Well the car won't start and It does not have the original key. I had the battery unhooked as well. Is there a way to start it without the key programmed or is my only option taking it to honda.

  25. Hi Eric- I have a 2000 ford f150 and i'm having trouble with the idle when i run my ac, when ac is on the idle is erratic and when I come to a stop the idle dips below 400rpm and almost wants to die. I have replaced the Iac valve twice and that has not fixed it and i have cleaned the throttle body. im not sure whats going on

    thanks nick m

  26. Should I consider changing my camshaft seal myself or should I pay the money to have it done? I have a 1995 Toyota Camry LE 2.2l..
