  1. A special good evening thanks to watching, or mostly listening. Thanks Eric and audience for good questions. I love it when I learn!

  2. to the guy whose tires wear out after 30,000km: my mom had the same issue on her 05 chev aveo. she continually got them replaced at about 35,000km with tires that the GM dealership provided. eventually she went to kal-tire and spent a bit more money for tires that were guaranteed for 130,000km, and they lasted about that long. if i remember correctly, the GM tires were about $60-80 a pop, and the ones she got from kal-tire were about $150 each (less when on sale), so about double the money for 4x the mileage. spending a bit more money to get tires with a good guarantee/warranty on them is worth it

  3. To the guy with the starting issue at the end. I had a similar situation in my 93 T-bird when it was cold outside. After trying to find the issue for over a month and replacing starter, battery, solenoid, and other various items I put in a push button, since when i turned the key it wouldn't turn over but if I jumped the solenoid it would start every time. In the process of putting in the button I came accross a security device tucked under the dash that dealers used to use. It has one of those cards that when pulled the car won't turn over. I pulled that system out and rewired it back to factory and issue was gone.

  4. Quick question: I got a '00 Camaro 3.8 (Series 2). Engine has 131k miles. My first oil change, I went with Valvoline Max Life synthetic 10w30 (weight is recommended). engine ran better, but 87 octane ran longer but sluggish. Sounded like a sick carbed engine. I switched to 89 octane and the sound and performance greatly improved. Car is rated for 87 and up. 91 octane would be a waste, but I don't know if it would hurt the engine. Sweet spot is 89. Will 89 octane clean the carbon deposits, or should I try 91 for a day or so? I'm only running 2 gallons at a time, as the car is sitting for repairs. Or do you recommend an additive to help with the clean up? The car does smoke from the tail pipes, but not bad and only for a short time. I'm liking the combination of the synthetic with the 89. Brought car back to like!

  5. Moog thinks you're swell. 😀 Been watching you for a year now. Keep up the good work.

Also, First Gen (95-05) Toyota Tacoma EVAP issues video. Do eeeet! 😀 They can be such a pain to troubleshoot with them wanting their factory spec VACUUM EVAP testers rather than the commonplace pressure style smoke machines. I had a read headache with one recently.

  11. Hey Eric how's it going? I'm an ASEP student for GM currently at HACC. I'm debating if I should stay with GM (specifically Chevy) or I should go into something like diesel for better pay? I want to get into the performance side of things but I'm not sure if it's realistic..

  12. Had a fuel line repair and now my car randomly cuts off and shows battery light on the dash every 2 or 3 days… i just cant figure it out, tuned it up two days ago and tested the battery and alternator but it cut of once yesterday? 1998 Buick lesabre

  13. Hello ETCG,

  14. Hi eric, i have a problem with a car studdering and not giving full power when i press the pedal from half the way to full. It actually loses power and i can only drive the car from about half throttle to no throttle.
