Zach has had crazy dreams since we first met him at a half mile event in Dallas a few years ago, when this Taurus was only gutted interior + a little nitrous. Needless to say Zach has gone way off the deep end as he created the worlds only 1,000HP Ford Taurus SHO (that’s something we never thought we would hear). Zach has certainly chose the path least traveled here and that is what makes this build so freaking COOL! We’re thrilled to be able to cover such a unique build that has truly tested Zach’s will and determination. +10 rep for going against the grain Zach – We can’t wait to see this thing break out of the 9’s!

I know these Taurus SHO engines aren't the secrets that they once were(and rightfully so – one of the most overkill factory engines before forged bottom ends were common, literally a specialty high performance engine built for a Ford Taurus), but I don't know if people quite understand how fucking EXPENSIVE and painfully slow it is to progress a 'unicorn' engine(known to be capable of a high potential; but completely unproven) like this. Even though there is a niche cottage industry for SHO V6s, little of it is made for this kind of abuse – there's a LOT of custom order & one-off shit on something like this. A lot of stuff that you have to troubleshoot yourself; because no one else has ever experienced that before.
    This is what an enthusiast is, this is the kind of thing that we all dream of doing – wasting our time and money on a shit boxes just because we "like it", being the "1st" even if you're only competing against 3 other cars near that level in the world. The best dreams are mechanical ones…

  17. Hey I bought a transmission off this guy for my 95 SHO lol. He was getting rid of all his stock transmissions so he could put a custom transmission in this car
