  1. In future project or other people projects, you can use a eraser rubber caramel pad to remove stickers and tape residu safely !

  2. It's always better to take a part of the car in,and have them use the camera,Just in case the sun had burned some pearls out of the paint. The camera will be the closest match to the old paint.

  3. Just a tip for removing double sided tape, old decals …etc. like what was left on your trunk lid. There is a wheel you can buy from your local body shop supply store that is made of a soft white rubber, very much like a white pencil eraser. You just put it in your drill and it will remove stuff like that quickly with ease and it won't cause any damage to your paint. All you have to do afterwards is clean the paint with a wax and grease remover and you're done.

  4. Don’t bother blending they can color match the new panel and then blend it so there’s no way you notice. Just blending isn’t gonna look good.

  5. When you do a timelapse, are you doing 200x? Also, love the vids, i think i have binge watched about 50 episodes since monday.

  6. 6:04 when you realize you need to change your channel name to D is for Donkey. Just kidding! This happens at body shops all the time, don't feel bad. This is another reason not to paint your own car. You don't have access to the right tools for color match. Furthermore, color match is really an illusion and any good paint job involves blending panels. Also, most people have no idea how much the light source can change the way paint looks. Color will look different inside than it will in sun light. This effect is known as metamerism. I painted the roof of a silver car once and it looked TERRIBLE inside under the florescent lights. Pulled the car outside… looked perfect! Painting cars is fun!!!

  7. Man your channel blew up! I remember seeing you work on cars in the gravel what an amazing shop you've got now good for you bro!!

  8. Hey chris, I know you do a lot with salvage title cars! Im looking into a project that was in an accident but has not gotten the official rebuilt title. In my state it has to go through a level 3 inspection. Do you have any experience with that if there is still frame damage? or do you need this rebuilt title to insure/ register the car? any help would be appreciate i know this isnt the greatest way to contact you

  9. Alpinaweiss is the most absurd color code that BMW has to respray and get 100% right the first time.
It got over 10 different shades and 3 generations.
We call it 50 Shades of white in the painting business.

  10. Just so everyone's aware, When he said "Used a razor blade" He meant a plastic razer blade. DO NOT use a actual razer blade on your paint lol
