27. EDD is screwing people over, randomly, and without notice, “Pending” people’s payments. Search Twitter. Someone needs to investigate or start a class action lawsuit against EDD because people are suffering and not getting answers. My benefits were not supposed to end until 2/2022, I’ve been applying for jobs since January and haven’t gotten an offer. I’ve worked my entire life, and this is what I get from our government. If EDD is not going to pay me and I can’t find a job that covers my bills, then I’ll have to file bankruptcy. Company’s need to pay people at least enough to cover the basic necessities: housing, utilities, food, gas, insurance…. In CA that’s more than $15 an hour. In CA it’s mandatory you look for work. I can’t believe other states don’t make it mandatory.

35. Here's the problem with me. I apply at these places online and never hear back. I go in person, they refuse to see me. I have friends and neighbors working trying to find me a job, they all require a bachelor's degree and pay minimum wage. Yeah, really makes sense doesn't it? How does part-time proofreading require a bachelor's? This economy is a joke. There are no jobs, and if there are, people are too lazy to work because of the government cheese. Welcome to the welfare state, have fun!
