  1. When I lived in Hawaii we allowed the seasons and lighting to do its own thing and change by themselves. The summers would be longer naturally and the winters would have shorter days. You still get some light in the evenings just not all year. Its called a light cycle . We’re so domesticated these days that we have become slaves to the clock and not in tune natural lighting. If you want more light, wake up earlier. It’s better for your brain to power down early at night anyway. Early to rise early to sleep.
That’s the natural circadian rhythm wired in out brains.
I vote we toss it. How do we get rid of it without having to move states? Can we go on strike ?

  2. having daylight, is confusion, and difficult for us. why can times just stay the the they are? and I aslo like having more daylight in the morning, whenever when I wake up early to have my brother and then getting on school bus on my way to school, but the bad news, is that it's kinda depressing when we lose a daylight in the evening. during the winter.

  3. It's not just issue of sleep, it messes up my alarm clock settings on Amazon Alexa and cellphone. When I try to change them it won't let me. Idk how to fix it, so I go through deleting alarm profiles but won't let me reset at the previous times? I go through this twice a year due to time change. It would screw up everyone's sleep even more if they don't fix it. Just an unnecessary headache.

  4. I think we should make standard time permanent, being darker in the morning doesn't help anybody, DST KILLED DRIVE-IN movie theaters, sun going down a 9pm is ridiculous, it should be dark in the evening, and near sunrise when getup and start the day
There was a time I my life where I lived 50 miles west of where I worked, driving to work driving into the rising sun was bad, and every day I drove home into the setting Sun, why because of DST, and no I could not change my work schedule, either change jobs or change living location,
My opinion reduce DST. Or make standard time permanent, I don't like the clock switching, it doesn't save electricity, the lights are turned on 1 hour more at the start of the day, street lights will still burn from dark to dawn the same number of hours, lights and factory machines are still on the same amount of hours, it doesn't change anything for hospitals , or most business, maybe 1 hour less use of some parking lot lights at retail stores and entertainment locations , during WW1 it might have made sense, but Not now in the present 24 HR world, the electric power savings are just not there, all those persons that watch the 6pm or 10pm news or play games on the pc, will still be inside doing so, not outside running in the fresh air, Dst permanent is just "Spite the many to pander to the few"

  5. That’s encouraging! Holy smokes. Yesterday …I skipped church services… due a bad cold! I took a nap! It snowed for two days! Yippee, I celebrate this snow, and made the topper for a new baby quilt! It’s just ridiculous. I am so near-sighted. I lose pins! Oh well. Celebrate! Don’t get so depressed. Be safe! And, learn to enjoy this new daylight savings time!

  6. People in society today are not only soft, they’re stupid. My parents and grandparents never complained about switching to DST. I never complained. We adapted. Most idiots change their clocks right at bedtime or when they wake up Sunday morning. Hence they have it in their brains that they’re either losing an hours worth of sleep or they’ve lost an hour in the new day. Change your clocks at dinner time. Experience the time change during the evening and go to bed at your regular time. That’s how you adapt.

  7. So when ya kno it’s daylight savings time ya Goto bed an hour earlier bc ya know it’s gonna jump ahead or fall back… idk just a thought

  8. Mother nature naturally make time changes for us according to the season, they need to just do away with it already!

  9. So a year of Covid shutdowns and businesses forced to close and riots and loneliness and isolation and mask mandates…that's all not too big a deal.
But losing one hour of sleep which happens every year…that's really gonna push people over the edge and destroy the nations mental health.
Thanks ABC for the first rate reporting. You really hit on the pulse of the nation.

  10. I can't believe people think this can be true. Daylight saving time is the BEST thing some people's "mental health" we get more daylight and we don't feel rushed people days feel longer. Less daylight makes people lazy and depressed. She is Hipster BS. Vitamin D is the best thing for EVERYONE
