    Also I noticed you ran the car idling on the dyno for a while. Could that have fowled up the plugs, perhaps? I know with our race car, we have a set of plugs for racing and a set for moving the car around, with the race cleaned and tapped after each race.

30. You might need a smaller spark plug, gap with the E90:

    Misfires from Spark plug gap is an often overlooked tuning item. The proper gap is determined by the quality of your ignition system, the overall power goal, and the type of fuel you are using. A larger gap can create a hotter spark, which is better for combustion. But as cylinder pressure increase, a phenomenon called spark blowout can occur. As the air fuel mixture is compressed, its electrical properties change. A very dense mixture under high pressure has an insulating effect. The spark doesn't want to jump the gap, so a tighter gap must be used. Alcohol based fuels, such as E85, accentuate this property and require an even tighter gap.

38. Representing ignorant Canadians, I was wondering how you guys rate your fuel octane down south? We have E-10 up here, which in theory burns cleaner, but don't you worry about detonation at 60% ethanol.?
