  1. I know this is an older video but i have a quick question for you, I have a 2002 Jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0 in line 6. Its idles really rough, to the point of vobration. I have changed the plugs air filter. (oil change not that that matter's for this issue.) and it still idles rough. Driving down the road it does fine plenty of power no hesitation. Its only at idle it even tries to die sometimes. What could i further do to eliminate this rough idle. No ses light.

  2. HELP!!!!!! Honda civic si 1999 5 speed need new front wheel bearings and clutch can you give an approximate cost to have work done or where and what parts I can buy to take the shop as in the GTA and being female I realise I've got different quotes and parts required for the job. Thank you.
    Females drive standard too;)

  3. My girlfriend's sister has an 05 Sorento, they have the same issues with the headlights blowing out every few months. In the last year, they've gone through about 5 sets of headlights and about 6 taillights. It definitely is a Kia problem, but I haven't been able to figure out a proper solution.

  4. Fuel economy is worse in the winter as well because the engine runs a richer mixture in order to get to the operating temperature, hence the normal ~1500 rpm idle at cold

  5. The Toureg has a big air cleaner because it's an SUV capable of off-road driving where it's likely to encounter a lot of dust. More dust needs more filtering area.

  6. Re: Neil Foster. Haven't heard if often fingered as a cause of random misses, but I went through diagnosing and finally remedied my missing by making sure the engine was grounded to the car body. The ground strap had broken. I mended the original strap and added a second engine-body strap. After this, missing stopped. Missing had been set off by accelerating under load and low RPM. Preignition got so bad it completely blew the center electrode out of two of the plugs. I discovered the platinum plugs have a very thin vein of platinum shrouded in easily breakable ceramic. Now I stick to copper or silver core electrode plugs that should resist this breakage problem should the preignition/missing come back. It hasn't in half a year now. Seems like when ignition circuit amps peaked during acceleration, the grounding failed and stray voltages were bouncing all over under the hood. Another hint was I was getting shocked when I tried to touch my metal spark plug boot remover to the boot while the engine was running. It didn't used to do that.

  7. So i have a 01 buick regal ls and ever since i got it 3 ywars ago it pretty much was a leman i have bout about 5000 in to it even tho i paid 1700 and my engain service light has always been on but no problem tell a month ago i had to fix my mad sencer and i did that and my engain light ehrn off then has goon off and on for about 2 weeks and now its back on again but i know wverything is fine when i checked the codes and inly the map sencer was on befor i changed it. So my question is is it just being stupid or is something wrong?

  8. These videos have no long term value. Put your effort into your own forum IMHO. These live videos help in the moment but you will not get future traffic due to the nature of them.

  9. I have a 2002 mustang v6. Randomly idles high around 1000 rpm(yes the engine is warm) shutting the car off then back on usually works. Recently replaced the IAC. No vacuum leaks that I can find. Anybody know what the problem is?

  10. I have a problem with my Opel vectra from 2000. something called a EGR thing? Or maybe its called a exhaust valve. Ever heard about that? Expensive repair?

  11. Hey Eric, I have a 99 GMC Jimmy, and my right turn signal blinks really fast. I've got out and watched the lights blink and it appears that all the bulbs are working. My left turn signal blinks at a normal speed. Any help would be appreciated.

  15. Hey Eric, thanks for doing this. I have a 1994 ford escort wagon with just under 100,000 miles (pretty low right?). Is there anything fun I could do with this car for under $500. It runs fine now, but I know its life is limited, so I want to have fun with it while I have it. Also, what causes cabin vibrations when the car is standing still?

  16. Hey Eric I have a problem! When I come to a complete stop, after a few seconds, my break starts to sink and my car moves, meaning i have to press harder on the break to stop the car. this cycle repeats until I have to press abnormally hard on the break to keep the car from moving… Can you help me????

  17. Hey Eric, I have a Ford the end of the decade 80 Ford Del Rey Ghia, CHT engine that is manufactured to ethanol .. He is carbureted and this is properly fitted, clean and new! New spark plugs, cables beautiful and revised distributor, but the games begin very weak, it seems that the engine is very weak in this game .. have any tips to help me? Thank U!

  18. Hey Eric I have asked you about this problem in the past. I have an 05 PT Cruiser. I have no tail lights and gauge cluster lights. I changed the multi function switch with no improvement it still blows the fuse. Do you have any other suggestions?

  19. Eric I have a 94 ford explorer, I think its haunted. Using ur site for advice I still can find the reason my truck randomly dies while driving it. It only happens about once a month. When it dies it has to sit at least ten minutes then it fires up and runs fine…so crazy. any idea?

  20. Eric: 2006 Toyota Rav4, 4cyl. – 148k trouble-free miles on it with one exception; it has the excessive oil usage issue. No visible leaks, burning, nothing…but let it go 3,000 miles & I have to add at least a quart or more.

Toyota issued a TSB for this in 2011, but I was out of warranty then. They are now extending it to qualifying vehicles (those that pass their consumption test) up to 150k/10years. I go back for the results of my test in a few hundred more miles, but pretty sure the vehicle will qualify.

Per the TSB the fix involves replacing pistons/rings & other components in the motor on Toyota's dime. Being that I'm just at about 148k now & will have the vehicle hopefully another two years, in your opinion, is it worth it at this point to have the work done?

My concern is tearing apart a motor that is running fine & has 148k on it.  If I choose NOT to do the work & the worst thing is I have to dump an extra 4-5 quarts of oil in the car during the course of a year…I'm ok with that. Just not sure I want them opening up the motor & then potentially having issues down the road. Thanks!

  21. Hey Eric Congrats on the Lift and thanks for the continued Videos.   1980 Ford F100 300 I6 4.9L Carter YFA with electric Choke Single BBL carb the idles too low on it. watched your video when you Rebuilt the Carb on the Fairmont. But I think there is more than one screw to adjust which one should I pay more attention too.
