  1. On mine I lift the top door where you load clothes…there's a plastic piece that's connected and when you close door it keeps a little metal lever in place so the machine goes through cycles. You will see the hole and you can feel metal lever under the hole. I used duct tape and wrapped the broken plastic piece on top door…works good about 4 years now 😁

  2. That's a funny-looking car 🤔
for real though I have the exact same washing machine and really hope this video doesn't come in handy lol

  3. The most obvious cause is the belt broke or came off. It can be found underneath the washing machine for people reading this. Doesn't always mean something actual broke.

  4. It's not pretty much any washer, it's only the older direct drives that use couplings. The cabinet can be removed easy to make this job much faster as well. Remove the plastics on either side of the console, they just pull off. Remove two screws, remove brass clips and disconnect the harness for your lid switch. With the cabinet off you can access everything with ease.

  5. Very nice work!!!!
I searched this morning and didn't get any video that started with "if its making this noise" .
Lots and lots of trouble shooting guide stuff, could be this, could be that, but nothing with noise.

I look again tonight after thinking I may need transmission or whos knows what else, and I find your video. Boom that's the problem… I love this guy.
Very precise instruction and you get right to it with no wasted word or video. Slightly tighter in there than it appeared, and I'm not sure I would have got that motor out. Pump removal, 2 screws, not easy to find without your help. I'm a Red Seal Millwright and Maintenance Planner.

  6. Hey Chris, love the tip for the jack stand. So simple but really a great idea. Thanks for the video.

  7. Thank you Chris in 2014, you just saved me big time in 2021!! (seriously, this was exactly our issue and our washing machine is back and better than ever thanks to this video!)

  8. I owe you at least one case of beer. I couldn't get a repair company to come out to fix our washer. We have three adults and one newborn baby in the house, we needed our washing machine. Your diagnosis was spot on. The Amazon part number was right. Your step-by-step instructions where also spot on. The only difference in my machine was that there were only clips and not bolts holding everything together. 10 minutes start to finish. Thanks Again!

  9. Thanks for the helpful video. Our washer wasn’t draining I saw this video and bought the motor coupler which was very cheap and changed it myself. Very simple fix. Saved us from buying a whole new washer! Washer works great again. Thank you

  10. Thanks. First video I checked and looks like my same washer. Couldn't believe it and then you did a better job on video and explanation that the appliance pro folks.

  11. Ok, I havent repaired my washer yet, BUT, I tilted it back, put my car jack stand underneath and mine looks exactly like yours. I can see the couple is broken, so I'll be ordering a new part. You are the man Chris! Thank you!

  12. Repairman promised to come by today and failed to show-up (go figure!!). So, Plan B, ChirisFix video to the rescue! Didi it myself and now everything is A-OK!! Thanks Chris!👍

  13. I've been watching your videos for over 5 years. My sister actually was the one that mentioned watching them as she saw your videos on how to super clean the windshield. I work on family and friends vehicles and she knew your content would be something I would enjoy watching and very informative. I haven't missed one since.

Though I can't believe I never stumbled across this one with the washer repair. I have a front loader now, but I remember working kenmore machines with my dad back in the day and changing these couplers. Wish we thought of a jack stand used a cinder block. Lol

Still watched regardless of what's being fixed. I remember when the videos were labeled for difficulty and other changes. I'm glad you keep your older content, it's nice to go back and watch from time to time.

  14. My washing machine just had this problem. Been following you for while. Never thought you made a washer video. You were the first video when I searched. Has worked so far, just waiting on the part to come in. And yes the jack stands are holding my machine up.

  18. My man Chris, I’ve a subscriber to your channel for a minute now. I found out something about you that I had no idea about. I’ve thought this whole time that you only had a hand in the car fixing world. My washer took a dump and guess who I bumped into while I was looking for repair videos. You got it my guy!!! YOU. I just had to reach out to give you a big shout and props man. Just one question? What the heck man? Some of us I’m sure would like to connect the face to the handS and voice. Lol. Keep doing you my man!!!
