22 minutes…. I own 3 cars, and not a single one has a cooling issue and all 3 have been recently inspected by my mechanic before the lockdown was lifted. I have no reason or interest to learn about flushing a coolant system…. and yet I watched the full 22 minutes….

Hey Chris! I love your videos. I followed this one to flush my coolant and I think I followed everything correctly. However, my 2006 Toyota Tacoma when I filled with coolant only took a gallon instead of what I was told takes e gallons of coolant. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
Never really being too mechanically inclined, the dealership I normally get service at wanting to charge me $300 to do a coolant flush. Wound up doing the coolant flush myself per this video.
I opted to leave the thermostat in since it'd be a severe pain to get to, it took quite a bit longer, 8 flushes to go from a very used dark green to clear.

Is it ok to let the water evaporate out of the drained liquid to reduce the amount of fluid that needs to be recycled?
I can't wait to do this on my 79 el camino. Its just one problem. The air conditioner doesn't work so its just the coolant flowing through the engine and radiator and back.
Does it matter to use the heater when taking it out for a ride during the flush?

I measure the original coolant coming out so I know how much is in the engine after draining and compare that with the total capacity stated in the owner's manual. Then flush like ChrisFix using a flush and distilled water. At the end, I fill with concentrated coolant equal to half the stated capacity and then top off with distilled and bleed the air as necessary. This way I have a true 50/50 mix. If you only have 50/50 premix available to fill with after flushing, the amount of distilled left in the block is diluting the 50/50 mix. I find the 50/50 premix a pain in the rear, because I then have to drain and refill more than once to get close to a 50/50 mix in the engine after flushing…are you listening H_ond_ Motor Co that only sells premix? (yes, we know about the block drains too)

I wanted to wait to change radiator until engine rebuild but it is leaking so with a full flush with it keep the new radiator pretty clean ? I don’t want to put something new in and get it dirty already

Hey Chris, used the Flush + Clean, which revealed grey sludge in radiator, got worse with each drain/fill and flush. Keep going? got nervous could be head gasket milkshake, but think it is likely radiator corrosion.

I recently purchase a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. 4×4 all wheel drive 4×4. It has a blown head. The owner had started working on it but gave up and the car was parked in a low area on his property . I purchased it from him and moved it to my property next door to him. He told it over heated on the I system and threw an exhust valve rod through the valve cover. I asked if i could look under the hood. The driver had alread purchased parts. I asked him if he would sell the vehicle he said I`ll ask my wife this is her dream car. It sold with parts. When i started looking at fluod levels i asked about the antifreez it was bright green. There was no oil in the crankcase and the overhead cams were dry. I asked if he drained the oil. He said no. Well were tearing the engine down. Wrong anti freeze, no oil. Did i purchase a boat anchor? The Jeep 4.7 V8 does not allow the antifreeze to drain out of the engine, the petcock only drains the radiator. Yes the radiator cap is off. The air release is in a pladtic bag. And we got a foot bath when we loosened the timing cover. With that I started watching YT vids. How and what will be needed to clean the cooling system? Well I found some vids on this with other vehicles that have the wrong antifreeze in them. I have a Pacifica and I new about Chrysler and the antifreeze needs. But it took me by suprise that you have to remove a bolt on the drivers side near a freeze plug to drain the engine. And of course it requires a special tool or total front end disassembly to get to that bolt. The adventure continues. . . . The YT owner installed a petcock valve 9/16 inch, in place of the drain plug to make it easier for future cooling system flushes. Thank you Mr. MARTINBUILD for the great tip. I do not know if this applies to other model years of Jeeps made in the 2000 -2004 build era. [WJ series) Build dates [99-2004) aka Dimler-Chrysler Jeep Build.
Imma flush my beautiful 1998 Toyota Avalon with 112k miles in it. Found out the green coolant is incorrect.. do I go to the oil change place and say something???

In my bike, i remove tank, put sand and vinegar and move very quickly like a shaker. Then i put distlled water two times to refresh,and return like new. Good job guy!✌😊
