My name is Collette and my father is Charles McGruder. His father Leonard was from Alabama and died early in his life. My father is also 6’3” and broad and this video blew our minds … I was so excited and deeply moved by this piece. It confirms so much about our tenacity and dedication to education. BRAVO @abc we need more programming wherein our rich and complicated overlapping American histories are celebrated.
