Sylvania reached out to me recently and asked if I was interested in trying one of these kits out. At first I was a bit skeptical but after installing it I find I really like it. It’s the little things I suppose. I almost can’t wait for it to get dark so I can turn them on. My kids fight for the remote so they can change the colors. It’s more fun than I expected.

I got these exact leds sorta out of impulse. I have a 2015 wrx, and when it comes to running the wires. I hit a bump. In other cars I've put leds in you can usually run them behind the console. I didnt know the wrx didnt have that gap. So im having trouble running the wires to the passenger side, in a somewhat clean looking way. Any tips or advice? I wasn't gonna hard wire them just yet. Just gonna use the 12v adapter it comes with. Thanks

Hey Eric, was wondering how the lights have held up over the years. Are you still happy with them and is the adhesive backing still keeping the strips in place? Planning on doing something similar to an F-150 project truck.

I would like to verify the theory of the fuse clips being widened. We have a GMC P30 step van and over the summer we suddenly lost headlights. I opened up the fuses to find the headlight fuse actually melted before it finally blew. I was able to clean it all out and found that a new fuse was rather easy to push in/pull out, so I was able to squeeze the clip together with some fine needle nose pliers to make a better connection, fuse doesn't heat up anymore!

A good place for that sensor might be in a blank button. If you are good with a drill you could mount it in such a way that no one will notice it. That is nice if you don't like things sticking out of places that they don't really belong.

eric on the fuse box there are fuse''slots'' that arent used.The one side is hot (on some all the time and on others only when the key is turned)and in the other side they havent got anything ,u should try that
Could you have grounded it to one of the pins within the same port as the hot wire?
If it were me, I'd hook it up to the door light sensor (When the door is open) and maybe the map light switch
hello i have a problem and i think that part of this video will be able to help me just wanted to run it by you… for some reason my acc power wire behind my car radio has stopped sending enough power to power the stereo can i run a wire like you did in this video and use it as my acc wire? and if so what extra steps if any would i have to do besides run the wire to the stereo? does it need an extra ground besides the one on the stereo?… thanks
did the same with my jeep except they only turn on when i turn my headlights on 🙂

Someone told me a while ago you shouldn't ground too many things to any one place. Is that true? I tend to group things together for ease of service.

@3:40 Man, Eric- what year is that Honda? That ALDL bracket sure is RUSTY. What's with dashboards in general? Everyone I've seen has a weird- scaly rust rot problem- in certain places. Is it just the cheap metal? Moisture? Galvanic corrosion like an old Jaguar? All makes & models- RUST.
I'd suggest a good use for something like this would be to add footwell lighting to the courtesy light circuit of an older vehicle with just a stock dome light. Just wire them to the door switches.
seems that for a while you've been doing secondary projects , not keeping vehicle running without major part buys seems like it is time to unsub and go esewhere
